The 16th annual Denver Days festival features two days of carnival rides, live music from LA Acoustics, Rush Lake, Band of Oz and more, plus vendors onsite. View all activities and start planning your trip here.

THURSDAY

Cork and Craft Chocolate Workshop
Bells Box, Cornelius | 6:30 p.m.

Chocolate lovers will get the chance to try six varieties from around the world, each paired with wine, in this tasting led by owner of Chocolate Monkey Jessica Henderson. As you sip and taste, learn all about how chocolate is made, how to read a chocolate bar label, how to pair wine and chocolate and more. Take home a list of all the chocolate you’ve tasted plus a special treat. $40 per person.

September Cooking Class – Quick & Easy Dinners
Savory Spice Shop, Huntersville | 6 – 8 p.m.

Jessica Lutz, culinary instructor and owner of Saucy Spoon Cooking, will teach Savory Spice’s September cooking class that focuses on dishes for those busy weeknights. Attendees will learn to cook sheet pan salmon and veggies, caprese chicken, buffalo taquitos and a dessert. $30 per person. Sign up in store or by calling 704.997.6133.

Evening Kayak Tour on Mountain Island Lake
Latta Plantation Nature Center, Huntersville | 6:30 p.m.

Hit the calm waters of Mountain Island Lake for an evening kayak tour. All equipment provided. $15 for a single kayak and $20 for a tandem kayak.

Gal Friday takes the stage at this week’s LangTree Live concert series. Visit the shopping and restaurant retailers, grab a craft beer from D9 Brewery and park your lawn chair to enjoy the show. Admission is free.

Bella Love Presents: Open Mic
Brick Row, Cornelius | 7 p.m.

Downtown Davidson Fall Arts Festival

Fall Lakefront Hops Fest
The Kilted Buffalo Langtree, Mooresville | 1 – 7 p.m.

Over 15 local and regional breweries will be onsite at the Lakefront Hops Fest, along with two live bands, kids activities and food vendors. The day supports Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids. Free admission.

‘Tawba Walk Arts & Music Festival
Old Town Cornelius | 2 – 8 p.m.

This fall’s ‘Tawba Walk offers fun for all: two stages of live performances, over 100 local artists, food trucks, local breweries, sidewalk sales, a kids zine, street art and more.

Yacht Yoga for a Cause

Break out of your workout rut to strike a yoga pose aboard the Lake. Roll out your mat on the deck and support a new local charity each week. $20 per person.

Lighthouse 5K Trail Run and Family Health Fair
North Mecklenburg Park, Huntersville | 8:30 a.m.

Start the season off healthy. The inaugural Lighthouse Family Health Fair features cooking demonstrations, free samples, health screenings, free chair massages and more. There will also be a 1-mile fun run and field games the whole family can enjoy.

Aloha Flow SUP Yoga
Aloha Paddle Sports, Cornelius | 10:30 a.m.

Take your yoga practice on the water with a 60-minute Aloha Flow led by experienced instructors. $25 per class (including equipment), $15 (bring your own board) or $119 for a monthly pass.
