Graphic Tees
Graphic t-shirts have been trending for some time because they’re a great way to bring some edge, humor or personality to your look. Here are a few ways to style for fall.
Jessica, owner of Shimmer Down, is rocking this perfect combination of glam and edge. The key to good fit with a unisex t-shirt is to maybe roll the sleeve and tuck in or tie the bottom in a knot to give yourself more of a figure and less of a boxy shape. High-waist skirts are perfect to pair with t-shirts because you can create a natural waistline. Feel like sequins may overpower your look? Pair it with something simple or a little more casual for balance. This sequin skirt is by Eloquii. Both the skirt and custom shirts are carried by Worthy Figures. You can check out the awesome glitter body art by Shimmer Down on Instagram @shimmer.down.
Leather & Suede
Another popular trend for fall are leather leggings, which are also great to pair with graphic tees or your favorite sweater. Bailey is an amazing makeup artist in the Charlotte area and has made so many brides look beautiful for their big day. Follow her @baileyupchurchmua. She’s wearing Lyssé leather leggings carried by Nordstrom and Worthy Figures paired with a classic jean jacket and graphic tee from my shop too. A lot of women feel intimidated to wear leggings let alone leather ones. Don’t you worry about a thing! Just like anything else, it’s all about fit. In styling clients, thicker and more structured leather leggings have worked better on some while others have looked better in thinner and stretchy ones. Shop around and find which ones work best for you, but please, don’t write them off all together. They can really make you feel like strutting your stuff around town! Jessica is totally strutting her stuff in this mini suede lace-up skirt by Boohoo. Worthy Figures has this skirt in tan, blush and another similar in olive.
Warm Tones for the Season
Also popular this fall are brick and rust tones. It’s that perfect hue to represent fall and those beautiful changing leaves. To bring this color into your wardrobe in a big way is to get a beautiful sweater in the tone. Stephanie is wearing one of our boutique brands with a beautiful braid detail down the sleeve and is paired with leather leggings by Torrid that are carried in my shop too. Melissa (Mo) is rocking a camel colored leather skirt by Eloquii and paired with a black bomber jacket from Boohoo. Also a great tip and something every woman could use in her wardrobe is a bodysuit. No more fuss with tucking in shirts! You can check out Mo’s art @owlymo.
Southern Style
It’s not just for spring and summer ladies! Carry your gingham over into fall with the right styling. Stephanie and Amber are both wearing the same Fashion to Figure dress carried at Worthy Figures but styled in two different ways. Stephanie went more for a casual look paired with a jean jacket and Converses. She’s posing with her Panther blue yarn she uses for her craft classes with Crowned Sparrow. She’s also wearing this amazing collaboration between Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James line and Eloquii. Does it get any more southern than “Bless your heart”? It’s a perfect top for those tailgates and football games! Check out her classes around Charlotte by following her @crownedsparrowco. Amber’s gingham dress is styled with a more edgy/retro vibe with the boots. A simple change of shoes can change your whole outfit’s feel. Amber is a graphic designer creating quirky and unique prints, tote bags and more! Check her out @iambearart.
Summer-to-fall Transitional Outfits
We’re in the South ya’ll. It’s hot a little longer here than most places, so it can be hard sometimes to dress for fall without sweating to death. Ease into the season with some colors and prints that feel like fall but can help you stay cool. Nadya is wearing the perfect transition dresses by Boohoo. Dark florals are huge again this fall, and the coldshoulder trend isn’t gone just yet. I paired the navy dress with a peep-toe bootie by Lucky Brand for a fall feel without suffocating your feet. All of Nadya’s looks are paired with her handmade jewelry @bajaridesigns. Also on trend this fall is twist/tie tops. Bailey is wearing an Umgee top that has looked amazing on every woman that’s tried it on. During the warmer parts of fall, pair with your favorite jeans, but you can layer it with a long-sleeve shirt underneath when it gets cooler. This shirt almost sold out at Girl Tribe Pop Up, so more are getting ordered!
