Party Pics! Alain Ducasse Visits La Belle Helene in Charlotte

New Charlotte restaurant La Belle Helene celebrated its 3 month milestone with a visit from famed French chef and restauranteur Alain Ducasse.

The already super-popular and oft-instagrammed restaurant was designed with the expertise and resources of Ducasse Conseil, which helped design La Belle Helene’s floor plan, menu and overall look and feel. Which is, as the insta shares show, simply gorgeous.

On October 10, La Belle Helene celebrated its first few month’s success with a special evening event featuring live jazz, champagne and signature menu items. The party was attended by nearly 200 local VIPs, and best of all, Chef Alain Ducasse made a special appearance. With 21 Michelin stars to his name, Ducasse is the 2nd most “starred” chef ever, is one of only two chefs to hold 21 Michelin stars throughout his career, and is the first chef to own restaurants carrying three Michelin Stars in three cities. Since Joel Robuchon’s death in August 2018, we’re pretty sure Chef Ducasse is now the ranking most celebrated chef in the world.

Ducasse, who spoke very little English, was a trooper about mingling with the guests and taking innumerable selfies. (That is he with the sly smile below). Of course, we are too camera shy to selfie with him, but we did manage to sputter out a passable Bonsoir enchanté!
