What is Prosocialites’ mission?
The Mission of Prosocialites is to be anchored in becoming a vessel of doing good for others.
What inspired you to start Prosocialites?
Our signature networking series, Woman Crush Wednesday where we feature a prominent woman in Charlotte doing good things in the community, sparked Prosocialites. How can you have a monthly event without a company name or brand behind it? Many believe it stands for Professional Socialite. It however derives from Sociology 101 – Prosocial Behavior. This is the act of doing good for others.
What is your favorite part about running Prosocialites?
The new, fun restaurants and people that have crossed my path. These connections have allowed me to continue to grow my business and create friends.
What are your thoughts on Charlotte’s culinary scene?
The culinary scene is growing not just by brick and mortars, but by expanding our palettes which I feel is important as Charlotte grows into the major city category to contend with Atlanta or New York City.
What’s your day job?
I am a Lending Manager at Wells Fargo.
Favorite spot for date night dinner?
204 North. They are open for brunch, lunch, and dinner and since they are in the heart of Uptown you could even hit up other events possibly in walking distance.
What restaurant have you been most excited about in 2018?
The newest rooftop hang out – Nuvolé.
What is one thing about you that your followers don’t know or wouldn’t guess?
I have a heightened sense of smell. I typically smell things seconds or minutes before others.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Fried frog legs. I’m from Alabama. We fry everything down there.
What’s the strangest thing in your purse or in your home right now?
I carry a large purse with my planner, notebook, and often times laptop. Because of this, I have a smaller purse or clutch inside. So the strangest thing in my purse is another purse.
