Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm

You can choose the perfect tree at Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm and use one of their saws to cut it yourself or have the staff cut, bale, and tie it to your car. Santa will be on site to greet families Nov. 25, and Dec. 1 and 2. Prices start at $40 for a 5-6 ft. tree. Tree stands are also available at Boyd Mountain.

Cartner Christmas Tree Farm

901 Balsam Dr, Newland, NC 28657
Open: Nov. 22 – Nov. 25; Dec. 1 – Dec. 2; Dec. 9 (by appointment only)
Hours: 9 a.m. – dusk

Opened since 1959, the family-owned Cartner Christmas Tree Farm offers top-quality, hand-pruned Fraser fir Christmas trees as well as wreaths and garland. The Carnter staff will even help make your choose and cut experience even easier by helping cut a load each tree.

Helms’ Christmas Tree Farm

6345 Christmas Tree Ln., Vale, NC 28168
Open: Now – Dec. 18 (tentative on how many trees are sold)
Hours: Weekdays: 10:30 a.m. – dark; Weekends: 9 a.m. – dark

Since 1972 Helms’ Christmas Tree Farm has been a go-to for cut-your-pwn trees. They offer a wide variety of trees that includes White Pine, Leyland Cypress, cedars, and Carolina Sapphires. Prices start at $39.50 for a 5-6 ft. For every tree that’s cut at Helms’ one is planted in its place.

Smoky Mountain Christmas Tree Farm

756 Hemphill Rd., Waynesville 28785

Hours: Monday – Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Closed Sundays

Smoky Mountain Christmas Tree Farm carries a variety of Farsier Fir trees that range in size, plus, beautiful wreaths, and garland. Visitors can extend their experience by staying at one of the farm’s Christmas Tree Cabins, which can be rented and feature one bedroom, bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen.

Tom Sawyer’s Christmas Tree Farm and Elf Village

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains six miles from the popular Village of Cashiers, Tom Sawyer’s Christmas Tree Farm and Elf Village, is an experience the whole family can enjoy with horse and carriage rides, a craft cottage, elf games, and visits with Santa. Prices start at $49 for a 3-4 ft tree.

Lil’ Grandfather Choose Cut
