For some of us, shopping requires a lot of coffee. You can always grab a quick espresso or cappuccino, but it’s the holidays! So, to get you into the Christmas spirit, we’ve rounded up some holiday-flavored drinks for you to grab on your way to the mall. Oh, and the best part, they’re all local! Whether you’re a fan of a classic peppermint mocha, or you’re more adventurous and wouldn’t mind drinking something that contains ghost peppers, there’s a flavor out there for you.

This holiday season, Summit Coffee is serving up four new seasonal flavors! My personal fave, the Fall Spice Cappuccino, consists of nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and brown sugar. The Hand Warmer is a cider-like drink with tamarind, lemon, and chai spices, the Apple Bottom Dreams is espresso, soda water, chai spice, and cider, and the El Diablo is a mocha with ghost pepper-infused salt.

Defined Coffee
This season, Defined Coffee is brewing up some peppermint mochas, Fireside Chai, and of course some hot chocolate! They also have a drink called the Ghost of Christmas Past, which consists of ghost peppers and sweet peppermint mixed with creamy chocolate. They’ve recently added a new drink as well, called the Ginger Beard latte. The Ginger Beard latte is a warm, spiced latte, with ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and a hint of panela syrup.
