Charlotte Influencers Share Their Favorite Spring Fashion Trends

One fun thing about this job is that I get to meet SO MANY fabulous women doing amazing things in the QC, it’s really quite inspiring. Say what you will about social media, it’s a super useful tool to connect. I do like meeting IRL of course, and go out of my way to do that (also so I have a reason to change out of pajamas and leave the house). BUT instagram is just such a treasure trove of local women making their mark.

Like these CLT style influencers, who agreed to share some pics and links on what they’re shopping for spring 2019. I HATE to have my photo taken but I LOVE shopping outfits, so these girls are my jam. Each has her own style, and each has an instagram account you should be following. Check them out below:

Spring/ Summer is my favorite time for fashion because it is always full of color and seasonal details. If you’ve been following me on the blog or my instagram, you know I am a color lover through and through so I’m very into the new hues popping up this season. Lavender, yellow, bright orange, pale blue, hot pink and, of course, living coral are all so fresh and stunning. I am looking forward to adding pops of color to my go-to neutrals and creating head to toe looks that make more of a statement.

I also love the strength the polka dot pattern has right now and how it is showing up beyond clothing and in accessories and shoes in a big way. I’ve been wearing more classic polka dots for a while but am more excited to style brighter, more colorful and more dramatic versions of the print in key items like cropped pants and suiting pieces.

Spring Color Crush: Blush. Loving these blush booties and they can paired with so many outfits – dark skinny jeans, white denim and flowy dresses!  Also loving this raglan “spring sweater”, so cute with the button detail on the shoulder. Tie on a chic neck scarf for a little French girl flair. 🙂

I think one of my favorite trends this spring/summer is a classic that honestly never goes out of style! Eyelet! Let’s be honest y’all eyelet has been a spring/summer tried and true trend for years now and I see no signs of it leaving any time soon! So this white eyelet jumpsuit is perfect for 2019 but also a piece you’ll be wearing for several years to come!

I honestly can’t imagine anything that screams spring like a colorful stripe! And one of my go to looks for spring and summer will always be a knotted striped tee and a great pair of denim shorts! Add these fun earrings and you’ve found your sweet self a comfy and casual yet oh so cute look! And isn’t that way we all want in life?!

Y’all, Spring is around the corner and I could not be happier. I love so many of the coming trends this year and one of my favorites is NEON!! When paired with great basics, Neon can add a little punch to almost any look. A casual, classic style takes a bright twist with this adorable racing strip sweater – so cute, right.

Or dress it up in the prettiest pink ~ Head-to-toe or just a touch, those bold colors just leave me smiling.

Other trends I am loving for Spring are the amazing details. Resin Jewelry that hit last fall is coming in stronger and available in every color Spring brings to mind. Another jewelry trend for Spring are Hoop Earrings – but bolder & chunkier than we’ve seen for quite some time. I just love’em.

And of course a great Clutch is on the menu for any season but Spring lends to some playful color and detailing and I’m always down for a little fun.

I love that these are all simple additions easily added to your existing wardrobe for an instant update with little investment! Happy Shopping Y’all!!

For Spring and Summer I love wearing lighter and brighter colors. We’re going to be seeing a lot of pastels this Spring and this striped mint dress is the perfect item for the season. Its flirty but modest and could be worn for Easter, brunch or a girls night out! I paired it with a white Chanel inspired bag and some nude heels, but can easily be worn with flat sandals as well.

A simple white button up shirt never goes out of style and its probably one of the most versatile pieces a woman can own. You can wear it with just about anything, just pop that collar and go! Summertime will bring more linen pieces and this skirt is the perfect example. It also has the paper bag waist which is a trend that can be worn any time of the year. This skirt is great for running errands, for the beach or even a casual dinner. It can be worn with a tank top in any color and flat sandals or sneakers for a more casual vibe.

Color blocking is a favorite trend of mine ~ we saw this trend throughout the winter and it will continue into spring. We see color blocking a lot in sweaters and tops (such as the one I am wearing in this photo), but we also are seeing it with bags, dresses and even swimsuits.

Colorblock top from SheIn (use code 1SMART15 for extra 15% off) – $15
Other color block items I am loving:
Colorblock swimsuit from Amazon – $23
Colorblock sandals from Nordstrom – $106
Colorblock t-shirt from Anthropologie – $60

The second spring trend I am really excited about is ruffles, as I think they can add a bit of femininity and fun to a piece. The dress I am wearing would be pretty basic without ruffles, but once they are added to the sleeves, bodice and hem, the dress is much cuter and more unique!

Ruffle dress from Amazon – $29
Other ruffle pieces I am loving:
Ruffle swimsuit from Cupshe – $33
Ruffle sleeve top from Nordstrom – $59
Ruffle skirt from Chicwish – $55

I found this adorable linen set for under $100 and knew I had to have it! Finding a good linen jumpsuit for Spring that can transition into summer is always on my shopping list. I love the linen tortoise shell belt buckle that adds dimension to this monochrome look. The thing that I love the most about this jumpsuit is the high-quality light weight material and its not see through. I ordered this online from Revolve.

I think for women, spring is going to throw a lot of 80’s mom chic looks at you! Fun prints, scrunchies, high waisted pants, and lots of color. But, my favorite spring fashion trends are white denim, bow hair accessories, woven textures (just to have a little piece of vacation where ever you go), and chunky jewelry. White denim has always been and always will be a classic staple for spring, but denim is really making it’s comeback right now. And I absolutely love all the ribbons and bows that are back in the stores now. Ribbons are just so feminine. So, I’m stocking up on fun hair ties. Putting a ribbon in my hair just brings back childhood memories. Woven accessories (think bags, hat, shoes) are one of my favorite fashions right now. I feel like we’ve been trending this way in our homes for a while, so I like that I can wear it finally. Last but not least, so much chunky jewelry! Luckily, a lot of the pieces are made in acrylic, so no more droopy ear lobes with all the fun earrings.

Neutrals are one of the spring trends all the experts and most locals can agree on for Spring Summer 2019 and dressing in tones of all one shade is always chic. Mix textures for interest.
