It was a tropical, floral paradise at The Palmer House on February 9th, when, despite Charlotte’s dreariest winter ever, the Mint Museum Auxiliary pulled out all the stops for their Cocktails in Cuba fundraiser. Statement earrings and shimmery, sunny fun brightened up the night. #suchawelcomebreak Do you see your pretty self? Share on your social and tag @scoopcharlotte!
Organized in 1956, the Auxiliary supports The Mint Museum by raising money to support educational offerings for the community and to fund acquisitions for the Museum’s permanent collection. The Auxiliary has grown from a small group of 60 women to 600 members spanning seven generations. To date, the Auxiliary has donated over $14,000,000 to The Mint Museum including funds and acquisitions. The six-decade partnership between the Mint Museum and the Mint Museum Auxiliary has been rich, strong, and beneficial to both the Museum and the city of Charlotte.
