Art on the Green
April 27 – 28

This popular event brings thousands of people to Davidson to enjoy a juried art festival featuring regional artists, live music, and food from local area restaurants. Saturday hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday hours: 12 to 4 p.m.

19th Annual Lake Norman Hospice Regatta
April 26 – 28 | Lake Norman Yacht Club

Lake Norman Yacht Club will host a weekend of sailboat racing to raise funds and awareness for Hospice & Palliative Care, Charlotte Region. To date, the Lake Norman Hospice Regatta & Party has raised over $1.2M for Hospice and Palliative Care Lake Norman.

THURSDAY

Jazz Combo
Tyler-Tallman Hall, Sloan Music Center, Davidson | 7:30 a.m.

Under the direction of Tim Gordon, the Davidson College Jazz Combos will take the stage for an electrifying evening to close out the jazz combo season. Free and open to the public.

Heart Of Spring
Magnolia Woods, Huntersville | 6:30 p.m.

LKN: Instagram Workshop
The Hurt Hub at Davidson | 6:30 p.m.

In this SkillPop class, local Instagram gurus and creators of CLTBests Haley and Carly will teach you how to build your brand and showcase your best snaps on Instagram. Expect to learn everything from increasing your followers, engaging with your audience and mobile photo editing.

FRIDAY

Gallery Crawl
Downtown Davidson | 6 – 9 p.m.

Discover the art found throughout Davidson from historic Main Street to South Main Street and at the Circles @ 30 as galleries and businesses host visiting artists and their work. Visitors can ride a trolley to all stops along the Crawl.

The Main Street Art Exhibition
Studio Elie, Cornelius | 5 – 10 p.m.

Studio Elie’s annual exhibition features students and local artists’ work on display. They’ll also be on hand to discuss their inspiration and process. Complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

70s Party
Corkscrew Birkdale, Huntersville | 8 p.m.

This 70s-style party has it all: live 70s music from Matt Stratford, groovy attire, drink specials and even a disco ball.

Container Garden Class
The Elements 4 Life: The Home and Garden Store, Davidson | 10 a.m.

Lakefront Hops Fest 
LangTree Lake Norman, Mooresville | 3 – 9 p.m.

This family and pet-friendly hops fest features more than 12 regional breweries, live music and vendors, all benefitting Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids.

Independent Bookstore Day 2019
Main Street Books, Davidson | 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Celebrate independent bookstore day with free donuts from Your Mom’s Donnuts with every purchase, exclusive Indie Bookstore Day literary merchandise, celebrity booksellers, local author events for kids and adults, literary cocktails and a poetry slam with FreeWord.

Earth Jam 2019
Robbins Park, Cornelisu | 4 – 7 p.m.

Earth Jam 2019 will feature free “green” activities, including arts and crafts, tree planting demonstrations, nature walks, bluegrass music, picnic baskets from local farm-to-table FORK Restaurant and more.

LKN Summer Concert Series 2019
D9 Brewing Company, Cornelius | 6 – 10 p.m.

See Vegas McGraw take the stage at the next edition of D9’s Summer Concert Series. All concerts are free to attend with plenty of beer, wine and food for everyone.

Davidson Community Dinner
Roosevelt Wilson Park, Davidson | 6 – 8 p.m.

The Davidson community can gather over dinner as the town provides a main dish, water, tea and paper goods. Bring your own chairs, blankets and a side/dessert to share.

Open Hearth Cooking Workshop
Historic Latta Plantation, Huntersville | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Learn 19th century cooking techniques as you prepare a meal in the Latta kitchen. Participants will get to taste everything cooked in the workshop, including rotisserie chicken with stuffing, roasted vegetables and hearth bread. $40 per person.

Jazz Concert Series
Veterans Park, Huntersville | 5 – 8 p.m.

Huntersville’s Jazz Concert Series is back this weekend with more performances by NC and national bands including Johnny Conga & His Tropical Jazz Project, Mike Zinna Trio, Noel Freidline Quartet, and The Lovell Bradford Group ft. Emily Braden.

SUNDAY

Concert on the Green
Davidson Town Green | 6 p.m.

Relax, kick back, and celebrate spring with the Davidson College Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble as they perform a lively mix of music on the Davidson Town Green. Free and open to the public.

3rd Annual Craft Beer SpringFest
Jetton Village, Cornelius | 1 – 7 p.m.

Party on the square with craft beer vendors, a wine tent, offerings from local businesses, two live bands and food vendors. There will also be a bounce house for the kids. A portion of proceeds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Sunday Jazz Jam
Old Town Public House, Cornelius | 6 p.m.

Each second and fourth Sunday, Old Town Public House hosts a jazz jam featuring Brian Burton on the drums and Scott McCloud on bass.
