Form, Figure, Gesture
Anne Neilson Fine Art | 6 – 8 p.m.

The opening reception celebrates artists Bonnie Goldberg, Lisa Moore, Gail Ragains and Daniela Schweitzer. The group exhibition will run through June 28.

Documentary Screening of Film Short “Exile”
Elder Gallery of Contemporary Art | 6:30 – 8 p.m.

As part of the exhibition “We See Heaven Upside Down”, this screening will feature film short “Exile” by Syrian film maker Dellair Youssef and a moderated panel discussion with Marsha Hirsch (Executive Director, Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency), Rusty Reynolds (Executive Director, International House), former Bhutanese refugee Thakur Mishra and multi-disciplinary artist MyLoan Dinh.

The Royal Suits LIVE at Alive After Five

7th Annual NoDa 5K

Lace up for the 7th NoDa 5K, featuring a neighborhood route, live music, vendors and food, giveaways and beer.

Lei’d Back Wooden Robot Luau to Benefit MDA
Wooden Robot Brewery | 2 – 6 p.m.

Take a mini-vacation for a great cause at Wooden Robot’s Lei’d Back Luau, which will include beer, contests and more. All Proceeds benefit MDA of the Greater Carolinas.

Keep Pounding 5K
Levine Cancer Institute | 8 a.m.

The Keep Pounding 5K starts at Levine Cancer Institute and ends in the Bank of America Stadium. All money benefits pediatric and adult cancer programs at Levine Children’s Hospital and Levine Cancer Institute.

Art of Reading Public Tour: The Warmth of Other Suns
Mint Museum Uptown | 2 p.m.

Discuss Isabel Wilkerson’s 2011 book, The Warmth of Other Suns, followed by a docent-led tour of selected pieces that enhance the work.

We’ve Got the Jazz Fest
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art | 12 – 6 p.m.

This family-friendly event will showcase jazz culture with performances by Harvey Cummings II, The X Men, Greg Cox, Groove 8, Brut Beat, Bria Alexander and more. There will also be hands-on art activities, local vendors and food trucks. $8 for adults, free for children 12 and under.

Breakfast for Dinner Collaboration with Snooze
Free Range Brewing | 5 – 7 p.m.

Ahead of their opening in Charlotte, Snooze will team up with Free Range Brewing for pancakes, giveaways and a special collaboration coffee stout.
Free admission with suggested donation to the Community Culinary School of Charlotte.

Charlotte Mimosa Festival
