Burney’s in Waxhaw – Opening July 9

The newest location of North Carolina-based Burney’s Sweets and More hosted a soft opening on July 4 in Waxhaw. The bakery, known for its glazed and filled croissants, will open July 9 at 318 E. South Main St.

Napa at Kingsley – Opening July 15

Napa at Kingsley will open on July 15 in Fort Mill. Expect Napa Valley-influenced fare, plus twists on traditional Italian and Fresh dishes. They’ll also feature new Napa creations from Executive Chef Michael Griswold including oven roasted lamb chops, lobster orecchiette, veal saltimbocca and wild boar agnolotti. Reservations are now available online or by phone for dinner service only. Lunch service will be available in early August.

Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse Rea Farms – Opening soon

Duckworth’s is bringing its fan-favorites menu and wide craft beer selection to Rea Farms in South Charlotte. They’re wrapping up soft openings over the holiday weekend, so expect an officially opening date soon. Find them at 9805-D Sandy Rock Place.

Host your next kid’s pool party at The Ballantyne

Just in time for summer, The Ballantyne now offers kids’ pool party packages. Packages start at $30 per child and include two hours of swim and a cabana for food and beverage. Add-ons are available. See all details here.

DropSound Yoga on the Dock
July 9 | 1309 Broadcloth St, 104, Fort Mill | 6 – 7 p.m.

This outdoor power yoga class taught by Lisa Felton Gajdzis at the Kingsley Amphiteater uses DropSound headphones to help you tune in to your practice. $10 per participant.

Barre3 + Candlebar Charlotte
July 10 | barre3, Fort Mill | 6 – 7:30 p.m.

Candle Bar and Barre3 will team up for an evening of fitness, bubbly and custom candles. Tickets include a 30-minute Barre3 full body workout, a custom candle pouring and a glass of champagne.

Ribbon Cutting: Greenway Gateway Grand Opening

Celebrate the opening of The Anne Springs Close Greenway’s new 6,300 square-foot visitors center, known as the Greenway Gateway. As the first major building constructed since the Greenway’s formation in 1995, the center will give the public a place to learn about the Greenway’s mission and year-round activities.

Paws on the Patio
July 27 (Last Saturday of the month) | Rea Farms | 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and the Humane Society of Charlotte team up for an afternoon of live music, adoptable pets, raffles and giveaways, caricatures of your pets and more. $1 from each beer and frozen drink benefits the Humane Society.

Cracking Up For Adoption 2019
July 28 | 390 York Southern Road, Fort Mill | 6 – 8 p.m.

The Third Annual Cracking Up For Adoption is part comedy show and part fundraiser, featuring comedians Shawn Reynolds and Ari Funny and host Chris Ruppe. $15 in advance and $20 at the door, with proceeds assisting local families with adoption expenses.

Kids Pasta Making Class

Kids will learn how to make pasta from scratch and chop ingredients for a fresh summer salad. $35 per participant.

1st Annual Charlotte Children’s Business Fair – Summer Edition
