Pediatric Cancer Month is September, and in Charlotte NC it is marked by the annual Race Day put on to raise funds for the Isabella Santos Foundation.
In 2018, 2,000 runners/walkers and nearly 3,000 participants joined together for a day of exercise and community and support for families of and children with cancer. This year promises to be even bigger!
In its 12th year this year, the ISF Race For Kids Cancer takes place at Ballantyne Corporate Park and is open to walkers, strollers, and runners of all ages and levels. New this year is the after race BRUNCH provided by Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Tito’s Vodka and NoDa Brewing, featuring tasty treats like chicken and waffle sandwiches with honey hot sauce, fried green tomatoes with country ham, goat cheese, and pepper jelly, and a Beignets, biscuit, and pancake station.Â
Even if you don’t plan to race, you can just purchase tickets to the brunch, support the cause and join the fun.
