Lore Brewing Company – Open now
A new brewery has opened at 1218 Rosemont Dr Suite 100 in Indian Land. Their starting line up of brews includes the Guess My Name Golden Ale, Lost Lore IPA, Pale Pixie Pale Ale, Sacred Bullet Saison and White Doe Wit. They also have wine selections and Windy Hill cider on tap. Visit Tuesday-Wednesday 4-10 p.m., Thursday 4-11 p.m., Friday 3 p.m.-12 a.m., Saturday 12 p.m.-12 a.m., and Sunday 12-9 p.m.
The Improper Pig Rea Farms – Opening soon!
Soon, barbecue lovers in South Charlotte will be able to enjoy The Improper Pig’s classic and distinctive takes on Southern fare. Guest favorites include traditional pulled pork and St. Louis-style ribs, which share a menu with globally-inspired flavors like Korean barbecue salmon and Thai and hoisin sauces. The Big South 5K Road Race is back for its 9th year. The course starts and ends at the Blakeney Shopping Center, and proceeds benefit middle school athletics in the area.

Chopt Launches Kids Menu, Chopt Jr. at Blakeney Location October 12
Chopt Creative Salad Co. will launch its first-ever kids menu this month, with a special “kids eat free” event at Chopt’s Blakeney location on October 12. The menu will include signature kids customizable salads and warm bowls, plus Chopt Dippers, a category that features reimagined quesadillas and chicken fingers with house-made dressings for dipping. Future menus will also include seasonal options.
Bring the kids to the Blakeney location from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. for the “kids eat free” event that will turn the bustling restaurant into a kid-centric eatery including interactive activities, entertainment, samples and a kids-only ordering line and seating.
