Close out 2019 and welcome the new year at CLT New Year’s Eve, Presented by Ally, in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. This free, annual New Year’s Eve celebration returns to Tryon Street at Levine Avenue of the Arts and will feature a DJ, live music, the lighting of the Queen City crown and a spectacular fireworks display at midnight.

Fireworks & Event Facts

The party is alcohol-free, but revelers can find dinner and desserts available for purchase from a selection of popular food trucks and carts.

A DJ will start the festivities at 8:00 p.m.

At 10 p.m., Charlotte-based band Mo Money will take over and keep the party rolling until the countdown to 2020 starts and the fireworks ring in the new year.

Public parking is available at surface lots and parking decks throughout Uptown Charlotte at market rates.

Mass transit options, including the Lynx Blue Line, CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar and CATS buses will be available as well.

To prepare for the celebration, Levine Avenue of the Arts will close between Church and Tryon streets at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30. South Tryon Street will close between Stonewall Street and MLK Boulevard at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31.
