New openings coming soon to Waverly

Activewear retailer Athleta will open soon in Waverly at 7314 Waverly Walk Avenue Suite E2. Another opening we’re watching: V’s Babershop, an Arizona-based chain promising an old-school barbershop experience, will open at 7416 Waverly Walk Avenue Suite H1-B. Stay up-to-date here.

Located in Ballantyne Village, Giggles Drop-In Childcare is now open. The 3400 square-foot facility is open Monday-Wednesday 8:30am-9:00pm, Thursday 8:30am-10:00pm and Friday- Saturday 8:30am-11:00pm.

Chuy’s Elvis Birthday Bash!
January 8 | Chub’s Waverly | All day

Celebrate Elvis’s 85th birthday with specialty items like signature Blue Hawaiians, The King’s Punch and $1 off the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken and the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. Diners who dress as Elvia (or Priscilla) will get a free entrée.

Wizard of Oz Tea at the Ballantyne
January 11-12 and 18-19 | 1-4 p.m.

Caymus Wine Dinner Event
January 14 | Foxcroft Wine Co-Waverly | 7 p.m.

Don’t miss the first wine dinner at Waverly featuring four courses with wine pairings. $75 per person and reservations are required in advanced.

DreamChaser’s Comedy Night
January 16 | The DreamChaser’s Brewery, Waxhaw | 7:30 p.m.

Beerly Funny will team up with The DreamChaser’s Brewery for a night of stand-up comedy featuring three comedians from North and South Carolina. $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Charlotte Restaurant Week Starts Jan 17
