Luxe, Low, and Local:
What to Wear to the Sadie Hawkins Dance

Ah the Sadies dress. It’s launched a thousand family convo’s about what’s appropriate and what is not, what’s too expensive and what’s not, what’s everyone else wearing, what’s too dressy, what’s not dressy enough, what fits, what doesn’t, how short is too short, and so much more. It’s often the first high school dance a girl goes to, and it’s one of the few nights of the school year to get dressed up with your best friends and look your best. It’s also often the first night a girl thinks, my feet are KILLING me, and oh yeah, these shoes are WAY too high to dance in. It’s a big deal. Try to enjoy it, as moments like these get fewer and fewer as she ages.

We shopped some local boutiques and some favorite online stores for a wide range of Sadie’s styles.
