Why Go to Boarding School? Which Ones Might Be for Your Child? Find Out in this Upcoming Webinar Series.

Boarding School 360 is an upcoming webinar series to introduce families to the boarding school community, to the overall experience, and to provide time to learn about individual schools in smaller virtual venues.  Katie Garrett of Garrett Educational Consulting and Kelly Sheehan of Schools to Know have teamed up to host this five day virtual event on the benefits and admissions process of boarding school specifically during the COVID-19 era.

INTRODUCTION: The series kicks off Wednesday September 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM with an intro to the series schedule & content along with a discussion panel by boarding school admissions officers and a Q&A session afterward. Registration Required.

PANEL TOPICS (9/23 after intro):

  • Residential Life & Advising Program 
  • Academics (Experiential Learning, Range of Classes, Independent Study)
  • Overall Benefits of Boarding School
  • Financial Aid (Need vs. Merit, Who Should Apply, Fostering Diversity)

  • The Junior Boarding School Experience
  • The All Girl’s School Perspective and The All Boy’s School Perspective

SCHOOL “FAIRS”:

Learn more from individual schools about the daily schedule, afternoon and weekend activities, arts, and athletics with the additional opportunity to ask questions.

  • September 24th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm
  • September 26th from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
  • October 1st from 5:30 to 8:00 pm
  • October 3rd from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS: Before the fairs, students and families will have the opportunity to schedule fifteen-minute Zoom slots with individual schools. Up to three families can register for each slot.
