We’re back with our exclusive monthly scoop on the hottest travel deals this month – these June travel picks will help you travel more and better than ever. Because these trips are such a steal, you’ll be able to squeeze more fun out of your 15 Summer Weekends, 15 Summer Trips. Today, we’re serving up three great travel options to islands, keys, and other scenic beach gems plus a reminder of two trips we’ve mentioned before that still have great deals.
Let’s start with that quick reminder: flights from Charlotte to both Denver and Saint Thomas are still a steal. In fact, prices for non-stop flights from Charlotte to Saint Thomas have dropped by more than $60. This June, score a non-stop flight from Charlotte to Denver for as low as $119 or enjoy a non-stop flight from Charlotte to Saint Thomas for as little as $281. To see where we’d stay during the trip checkout the scoop on in May Travel Deals.
Now, for three new options: Airline prices are climbing, so take advantage of flights under $200 before they become difficult to find. The best deals this June include:
- Sarasota, FL (from $176)
- Valparaiso, FL (from $176)
- Boston, MA (from $192)
Sarasota, FL
Let’s start with Sarasota, FL. Aside from scoring an inexpensive non-stop flight from Charlotte, head to Sarasota if you enjoy flour-like sand, botanical gardens, the Gulf of Mexico, and tranquil beaches.
Once you’re there, we’d recommend heading off of the mainland and enjoying a beach getaway. For places to stay, here’s a roundup from north to south: Compass Hotel (on Anna Maria Sound heading to Anna Maria Island), Anna Maria Island Inn (on Anna Maria Island), Wicker Inn (on Longboat Key), Zota Beach Resort (on Longboat Key), the Resort at Longboat Key Club (on Longboat Key), Lido Beach Resort (on Lido Key), and Turtle Beach Resort & Inn (on Siesta Key).
Valparaiso, FL
Another great option on the gulf is Valparaiso for its proximity to some of the Florida panhandle’s best beach communities: Fort Walton, Destin, Santa Rosa, Watersound, Seagrove, Miramar, Seaside, Watercolor, Alys, Rosemary, and more.
Once you land, plan to head to the beach community of your choice by booking a stay at places like: The Henderson (in Destin), Watercolor Inn (in Watercolor), The Pearl (in Rosemary), Watersound Inn (in Watersound), Alys Beach Vacation Properties (in Alys), or Rosemary Beach Inn (in Rosemary).
Boston, MA
Like all of our options so far, after landing in the city you’ll head to one of the best beaches nearby. From Boston, we recommend taking a car, ferry, or another short flight to Cape Cod. Once there, you’ll have your pick of incredible beach communities like Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and more. Plus, June is a wonderful time to visit Massachusetts’ coast – temperatures are perfect and days are full of sunshine from about 5:00AM until a little after 8:00PM.
Deciding which community you want to explore most while on the Cape is the first step. From there, you’ll have your pick of lovely inns, B&Bs, hotels, and rentals. Some of our favorites include: Life House (on Nantucket), Chatham Bars Inn (in Chatham), The Edgartown Collection (on Martha’s Vineyard), and this Airbnb (in Provincetown).
