Yes Virginia there is a Christmas Tree Shortage this year, so don’t delay. Several of our fave Fraser Fir tree farms in the mountains are closed while they wait for new growth to re-supply. And those that are open may only be open til early December / while supplies last.
While there are lots of local lots to pick your fraser fir, we love a Choose-and-Cut tree farm trip to any of these nearby Christmas tree farms. Make an annual tradition of it! What else do you have to do the day after Thanksgiving other than eat, clean, and shop?

How to Get Rid of Your Used Live Christmas Tree
Most of Charlotte seems to put their tree out on December 26th. You have until mid/late January for Mecklenburg County Solid Waste to pick it up at your curb and recycle it. Or you can also drop it at a recycling center.
