It’s True! Poptopia Returns to Uptown on Sundays This Month for Holiday Shopping and Treats 🙂
Poptopia is a pop-up holiday market in the heart of Uptown Charlotte and it’s returning this year in a new location at Victoria Yards (209 E. 7th Street).
For three Sundays from 1pm to 5 pm ~ Dec. 5, 12, 19 ~ you’ll a variety of small shops with vendors offering great gifts and stocking stuffers. From hot cocoa bombs to candles and more you can grab some gifts and join in fun activities such as ornament-making from AR Workshop and posing for unique family portraits from Cody’s Caricatures.

Light the Knights – Running through 12/23 at Truist Field
The Charlotte Knights light up Uptown Charlotte again this holiday season with a walkthrough holiday experience at Truist Field. Feel the magic of the holidays from Christmas Tree Lane to the Snowtastic Winter Wonderland. You’ll be treated to tens of thousands of lights, beautiful Christmas trees, snow, and displays as you stroll through the ballpark.
Charlotte Christmas Village will be set up at Truist Field this year, and features a European menu including bratwursts, schnitzel, and strudel, along with the popular gluhwein, hot cider, beers, and of course, hot chocolate. Based on the centuries-old traditions of a holiday market, the Village at Truist Field brings shopping from around the world, traditional flavors of Christmas, unique handmade gifts, and live entertainment.
One fun note: Have the kids bring a letter to Santa and place it in the red mailbox at the ballpark. Santa’s elves will be writing back to the letters received before the week of Christmas and mailing them to children who leave a return address.
CLT NYE presented by Ally
CLT NYE presented by Ally is the best way to ring in the New Year. This annual, free Charlotte tradition is back to celebrate the start of 2022 and includes a DJ, live music, the lighting of the Queen City crown and a huge CLT NYE fireworks display starting at midnight. In fact, this is the only place to catch fireworks in Uptown on NYE.
Friday, 12/31 beginning at 8PM on Tryon Street at Levine Avenue of the Arts starting at 8 p.m. on NYE.
