Hailed as Mozart’s greatest opera, Don Giovanni is set on the last day in the life of the infamous seducer and murderer, Don Juan. It is a dramatic comedy in two acts which premiered in Prague in 1787 and is generally regarded as one of the greatest works in all of opera.
Opera Carolina brings to life the Mozart masterpiece with an original production featuring creative new sets and costumes this February:

Don Giovanni is a young libertine, a very arrogant and sexually promiscuous nobleman who abuses women repeatedly, flouts all convention, and who creates the path to his own destruction all in a day, i.e. the two acts of this opera.
This Kennedy Center synopsis asks “How should a society punish a man who functions under his own malevolent moral code?” We say, hmmmmm. Let’s watch and see!
