For 31 years, the Young Affiliates of the Mint have recreated the fun and festivity of the Kentucky Derby with their Derby Days party, bringing together hundreds of Charlotte’s young professionals to enjoy a day of music, Mint Juleps, wine and beer, food, and more. And in case you run out of people to talk to, there’s a large-screen viewing of the Kentucky Derby horse race, aptly dubbed “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.”

For the first time since its inception in 1990, Derby Days will be held off Mint Museum Randolph’s Campus ~ the Cooper Gardens, 637 Hungerford Place just down the road from the Mint Randolph. They are a beautiful spot for a May day party.
Tickets are available for the YAM’s Derby Days, and are $55 for YAM members and $65 for non-members. If you are curious about joining this organization, this is a perfect opportunity to get to know it! Plus, everyone gets dressed up in Derby fine-ness, there are hats, and there is even a Best Dressed and Best Hat Contest.
You should definitely go.
