Looking for a Truly Great Facial? Get it at Toccare Day Spa

Throughout the summer we’ve chatted with our friends at Toccare Day Spa about the ingredients to use in our beauty regime and how to protect our skin from the sun. Today, I’m back to tell you about the best facial I’ve had in years, which I got at (you guessed it), Toccare Day Spa.

Let me start by telling you that if you don’t start your week with a Toccare Radiance facial, you’re doing it all wrong. I stopped into the Dilworth location on Monday for a 90-minute Radiance Facial + LED Light Therapy enhancement. The moment I stepped in the door, I was greeted by the owner Caci and her warm, welcoming staff, and was made to feel right at home.

This is just the beginning, below are three key reasons this Toccare facial is the best facial I’ve had in years – and possibly ever!

  1. They spend time with and examine the skin: I’ve never had a facial where the esthetician truly spent time with my skin. In my past experience, I chose a facial and showed up for the appointment, it was done quickly, and I went on my way. Caci and Nicole (my esthetician) are not only insistent that each client gets the exact treatment and experience they need, this is woven into Toccare’s business philosophy. Prior to the official start of the facial, Nicole took her time to get to know me, my skin, my concerns, current product routine, and asked if there was anything I was particularly concerned about. Based on my concerns and specific skin needs, she recommended adding on the LED light therapy enhancement.

  2. It’s Educational: My facial was so informative and educational. Throughout, I felt comfortable asking questions about the steps of the facial process and the products used. I also noticed that Nicole was very willing to provide information about the products she used while explaining what was in them and what they were used for. I learned some fun facts and helpful tips that have made my nightly routine better. Ever heard of double cleansing? I hadn’t either but it makes sense. You wash your face twice (once to get dirt, makeup, etc off and once to cleanse the skin) to see the best results. Sound familiar? It should, it’s the same method most of us use to wash our hair. Shampoo once to get the product out, then again to cleanse the hair. It made sense once I heard it, but I can honestly say I never would have thought of double washing my face. I also would have continued using my old face scrub brush. Nicole’s recommendation was to pass on those wherever possible. Often, those popular scrub brushes are unsanitary and can be too rough on the skin. I could go on and on, but for more, you’ll have to book your very own Toccare facial.

  3. Relaxing: Where possible, opt for the 60 or 90-minute facial. While all facial appointments have some massage or relaxation elements, the longer appointment lengths allow for more of both. Going into the appointment, I didn’t realize that any massage elements were included so this was an extra surprise. Even without the massage elements, the entire experience, yes, even the extractions, was very relaxing. Whichever appointment you choose, get ready to turn your mind off and just enjoy the process.

You may be wondering what makes up this facial that is the best I’ve ever had. While I’m a firm believer you need to experience the facial magic of Toccare for yourself, I understand the need to know. At Toccare, every facial starts with a verbal consultation with your esthetician where you discuss your needs, and they will share with you what they see and recommend for your skin. Your treatment is then tailored specifically to meet your expectations and needs for this particular visit. That may include more focus on relaxation, or more time for treatment to address the conditions of your skin. For example, extractions may or may not be a priority or method of exfoliation most appropriate for your skin type. Some clients may or may not prefer a scalp massage. The massage elements will change from guest to guest and between therapists. If you haven’t figured it out by now, Toccare is all about you, the client. For this reason, no two facials are the same.

All the skincare and ingredients used in Toccare facials are from clean-minded brands that care about the quality ingredients in each product, but they will never be pushed on you. As I was chatting with Nicole, she shared that Caci and the Toccare team aren’t about pushing the product sale all the time. She went on to say, “Caci believes in the old school spa methods where clients are the focus and get the full length of services.” I definitely felt that during my morning at Toccare.

As summer comes to a close and fall nears, think about taking a little time for yourself and book an appointment with Toccare Day Spa. You’ll leave refreshed, relaxed, and with an informed approach to a great skincare regime. Don’t forget to tell them Scoop sent you!
