Spring 2023 Consignment Sales in Charlotte and How to Best Shop Them

This FAMILY TO DO in CHARLOTTE series is sponsored by CEENTA.

Spring consignment sales are a great way to save money on clothing and products for your family. The Charlotte area has lots of sales to choose from and most include gently used clothing, toys, and accessories for babies, kids, and teens. In addition to sharing a list of some of the most popular sales, we also have four tips on how to best shop them. These sales can get busy and feel overwhelming especially if you’ll be shopping them for the first time and these four tips will help make things easier.

Our Tips

Shop early access. The best items in these sales will go quickly so getting access to the pre-sales is important. Most of them will offer early access tickets that can be purchased or are given to volunteers and those selling items. Check out their websites to find this info.

Go in with a plan. Make sure you know what type of items and sizes that you need/want most and go to those sections first. It helps to make a list in advance and bring it with you to the sale. This will also ensure you don’t buy items that you don’t need or that won’t fit.

Bring a stroller or bag to help manage the items you grab. It’s difficult to sort through racks of clothing when your arms are full. Strollers are great so you can hang clothing on the handle to clearly see what you’ve picked up. Wagons also work well especially if you think you’ll be buying lots of items.

Bring a friend. If you know what you each want then you can divide and conquer by going to different sections and grabbing things the other needs. You may also be waiting in lines and a friend always makes that more enjoyable.
