Things are certainly heating up around the Queen City this week! From Easter celebrations, Charlotte SHOUT! events, outdoor markets, shopping pop-ups and more – the city is jam-packed with things to do, and we’re here for it all.

Do you love indie bookstores? Then it’s time to show them some love. Visit each of Charlotte’s fiercely independent bookstores in the month of April and fill your Book Crawl passport with stamps from each bookstore. Celebrate Indie Bookstore Day on April 29 with your completed passport for a special edition Book Crawl vinyl decal. Finishers can also enter to win a gift card to each 2023 bookstore by submitting a photo of their completed passport by Sunday, April 30th, to enter.

Dixie’s Tupperware Party
April 4 – 8
Dixie Longate is the fast-talking, gum chewing, ginger-haired Alabama gal who is bringing the Tupperware party into the 21st century. Audiences around the country have been howling with laughter as Dixie demonstrates the many alternative uses for the iconic plastic kitchen staple. Funk Night at Charlotte SHOUT!

It’s time to get funky! Come to Wells Fargo Plaza Stage for Funk Night on April 6th, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and enjoy a night of high-energy funk and fusion featuring Stefan Kallander and Cosmic Collective, hosted by Quentin Talley. The night will end in a jam session.

Shop for local arts, crafts and goodies at this open-air market located at The Anne Springs Close Greenway. Tickets are $6/adult, $4/ages 5-12, free for ages 4 or younger and members. Make a day of it with coffee or lunch from the Gateway Canteen, and stop in at the Greenway Gateway to learn more about Greenway trails, activities and memberships.

Egg-cellent Garden Adventure at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

Celebrate Easter at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden for an Egg-cellent Garden Adventure weekend. The Egg Hunt will be from noon – 2 p.m. on both days. Eggs can be traded in for different goodies. Check with the front desk for the Scavenger Hunt sheet to see if you can find all the decorated eggs in the Garden or participate in one of the crafts for kids. Tickets can be purchased here.

Meet baby animals on The Farm at The Schiele Museum

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a meet-and-greet featuring live farm animals! Guest baby animals will join resident pigs, sheep, goats, cows, and more on The Farm. OMB’s Easter Egg Hunt

Bring the kids for OMB’s second annual Easter Egg Hunt.

There will be two separate areas for the kids to hunt for eggs. Children 1-4 years old will be in the “Hop Garden” area, and older kids will be hunting in the “Family Zone”.
