The Young Affiliates of the Mint are a diverse group of young professionals promoting and supporting the MINT MUSEUM through cultural, social, leadership, and fundraising activities and events. Established 1990, the YAMs are the premier social arts organization for young professionals in the QC, and their annual Derby Days fundraiser celebrating the Kentucky Derby is one of Charlotte’s most popular events every year.
The YAMs are hosting their 32nd Annual Derby Days on Saturday, May 6 from 3 – 7 p.m. on the lawn of Mint Museum Randolph in Charlotte. Named the “Best Party for Young Socials”, Derby Days brings together more than 300 of Charlotte’s Young Professionals to enjoy a day of live music, lawn games, Mint Juleps, open wine and beer, food trucks, lawn games, Insta-worthy photo backdrops, Kentucky Derby raffle and a large-screen viewing of the Kentucky Derby. There is ~ of course! ~ a Best Dressed and Best Hat Contest.

Most important, as always, is What to Wear. We joined several members of the Young Affiliates at Neiman Marcus SouthPark last week to showcase some of spring’s finest Derby outfits for men & women, but there is SO MUCH MORE at the store. We’re having a beautiful spring in Charlotte and this party is the perfect excuse for something new to wear!
