Summer may have only officially started this week, but we’ve been celebrating the season all month long in Charlotte. This week, choose from an anniversary party celebration at Church and Union, a grand celebration for Sycamore’s new taproom, the Durag Festival, the Caribbean Carnival, free kid’s yoga in the park, and lots more.

Sycamore Grand Opening Celebration!
June 22 – July 2
Welcome the new Sycamore taproom with a huge 10-day grand opening celebration. There will be food, live music, games, giveaways, and of course good beer, and great times.

Eat, Drink & Flamingle at McNinch House
Thursday, June 22, 5:30 – 8:30p
Celebrate National Flamingo Day with cocktails, wines, and a selection of hors d’oeuvres on the porch, lawn, or inside of the McNinch House. Honoring their late Founder, Ellen Davis, who adored flamingoes, this is a special event you won’t want to miss. Sous Vide & Seared Cooking Class at North Corner Haven
Thursday, June 22, 11a – 2p
Guests will enjoy a hands on cooking demonstration by Chef Joy, in the Farmhouse followed by a gorgeous lunch on the Farmhouse porch. This particular demonstration will include learning the sous vide technique using delicious pasture raised chicken paired with the Season’s Best Market Vegetable (hopefully tomatoes!) and Carolina Gold Rice. To end on a sweet note, guests will learn the proper way to make a classic creme brûlée and get to torch dessert before it’s served. Tickets can be purchased here.

Celebrate Church and Union’s Eleven-Year Anniversary

Church and Union Charlotte is pleased to announce its Eleven-Year Anniversary will be held on Thursday, June 22. For $75/person, diners can experience chef action stations by Chef Partners Jamie Lynch and Adam Hodgson along with Executive Chef Aaron Dearing.

Ales for ALS Release: Racing for ALS

This West Coast IPA is more than just a beer – it’s a tribute to the fight to end ALS and supports some incredible organizations leading the charge to the finish line: ALS TDI, Racing for ALS, & Ales for ALS. Come on out and join us and Racing for ALS alongside some of our favorite food trucks, live music, fundraising, and, of course, cold beer. Daydream Music Fest @ Suffolk Punch Brewing

Taking the stage for the final Daydream Music Fest show on Friday is the nationally-touring band Little Bird. The show is completely free, and they’ll be serving up $5 cans of Daydream Lager during the concert. Join them for an evening of great music, cold beer, and good vibes. Showtime is at 8 p.m.!
