One of our favorite weekends of the year is here, and we can’t wait to get out and celebrate. July 4th lands on a Tuesday this year, so many of the festivities will start over the weekend. Other happenings include an arts and music fest, a pub crawl all over the city, live music nights, a chance to see Alicia Keys perform, and much more.

Come join the Young Affiliates of the Mint (YAMs) on the lush lawn of the Mint Museum Randolph as they round out the 22/23 season for YAM. This year’s celebration will include a Cornhole Tournament. Bring the entire family (even the littles!) to participate in The Broken Crayon’s free kid’s club art enrichment in Camp North End. This week will be focused on creating fireworks in a jar. There will be a painting activity for smaller toddlers to participate in. Registration is required.

Duckworth’s Rea Farms has teamed up with The Greater Charlotte SPCA to host a special rescue and awareness event on their fabulous patio, and you won’t want to miss it. During the “Patio. Pints. PUPS” party, the Greater Charlotte SPCA will be bringing their adorable, four-legged friends which means unlimited furry cuddles and unconditional love. PLUS, all day on Saturday, July 1st, Duckworth’s Rea Farms will be donating $1 for every draft sold to The Greater Charlotte SPCA. Downtown Belmont is throwing their annual Independence Day Celebration with fireworks, live music, drinks, and delicious food. The evening will kick off at 6 p.m. with the opening of the beverage garden and DJ. Festivities will continue through the evening, including a live concert on the upper field of Stowe Park by 20 Ride, Zac Brown Tribute, beginning at 7 p.m. Make sure to stick around as the concert ends, because the City of Belmont is once again putting on a spectacular fireworks show that will light up the sky at 10 p.m.

Brookhaven 4th of July Parade

Celebrate the 4th of July by participating in Brookhaven’s 4th of July Parade! The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and go down Stanbury to the clubhouse where they will have games, popsicles, and prizes for the kids. Repicci’s Italian Ice and Hungry Howie’s food truck will be outside of the Clubhouse 12 PM – 4 PM while you party back at the pool!

Experience a 4th of July fireworks spectacular at Carowinds! The Celebrate America Fireworks Show will take place at 10:30 PM. The patriotic celebration will be accompanied by an all-American soundtrack, creating fireworks shows that guests will not want to miss. The firework shows will be visible throughout the park, but the best viewing locations can be found in the Carolina Boardwalk, County Fair, and Celebration Plaza areas.
