Thursdays in SouthPark just got a whole lot better. The neighborhood is coming alive with SouthPark’s free weekly entertainment and happy hour series happening every Thursday until October 12. Yiasou Greek Festival

The Yiasou Greek Festival began in 1978 and since then has become one of Charlotte’s largest cultural events. The Yiasou (the Greek word for Hello, Goodbye and Cheers) Greek Festival features Hellenic cultural exhibits, authentic Greek cuisine and homemade pastries, entertainment, live music and dancing, wine tastings, art, shopping and more.

South End Shuffle 5K and Mile Run

Put your running shoes on, the annual South End Shuffle 5K & Mile Run is back this weekend! Runners will start at W Summit Ave in front of Wooden Robot Brewery and head into Charlotte’s South End and Wilmore neighborhoods. Registration includes a finisher medal and beer from Wooden Robot Brewery or ice cream for those under 21. Register for the race here.

We Win’s mission is to raise money to help those recovering from neurological injuries afford rehabilitation services. We Win is a volunteer-based nonprofit that awards grants for therapy to applicants who meet certain criteria including physical need for therapy and financial need for assistance.
