Culinary Dropout, South End – Opening Oct. 11

The team behind Flower Child and North Italia will bring the first Culinary Dropout location on the East Coast to Charlotte this month.   Known for classic comfort food done right, Culinary Dropout’s electric menu brings the table together around crowd favorites like house-made Soft Pretzels, Provolone Fondue, Fried Chicken drizzled in honey, and 36-hour Slow-Roasted Pork Ribs covered with smoked bacon & jalapeño bbq sauce. They’ll also offer seasonal specials, handcrafted cocktails, and award-winning North Carolina brews on tap.

SupperClub, South End – Opening Oct. 13

Get ready for an all-in-one date night or GNO spot in South End. At SupperClub, guests can enjoy a full dinner by the wood-fired grill with French and Italian influences, followed by craft cocktails, live music and a friendly game of duckpin bowling to cap the night. 

Le’s Sandwiches, NoDa – Opening Oct. 14

Le’s Sandwiches and Cafe returns to the NoDa neighborhood this month. Expect some of the best Bánh Mì in the city plus other popular menu items. Find them at 217 East Sugar Creek Rd #150.

The Fox & Falcon by David Burke, SouthPark – Open now!

This modern steakhouse located at 4905 Ashley Park Lane at Sharon Square in SouthPark (old Dogwood location) offers prime cuts of beef, including a Tomahawk for two, as well as what Burke calls “ocean” steaks, a Halibut T-Bone and a Dover Sole steak and more. The menu also features some of Burke’s signature dishes, including Lobster Dumplings with tomato miso sauce and basil oil; DB Clothesline Bacon with black pepper maple glaze, pickles and lemon, Popovers and Tin Can Cake with chocolate sauce, heath bar crunch, caramel anglaise, vanilla gelato and whipped cream.

Chapter 6, South End – Open now!

Chapter 6 will bring the flavors of the Western Mediterranean to The Line in South End offering a menu built for sharing and pulling inspiration from Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, France, and Italy. The menu includes Mezze, Tapas, Small Plates, and Large Plates, designed intentionally to encourage a Mediterranean style of dining in which items are shared among the table. All are inspired by the flavors of Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, France, and Italy. The restaurant will open at 4pm daily for dinner service and will offer brunch 11am- 3pm on weekends.

 Catalina Kitchen + Bar, Elizabeth – Open now!

Ditka’s Restaurant Group opened Catalina Kitchen + Bar in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood on Sept. 12. This is the restaurant group’s first culinary venture in North Carolina, with a focus on coastal-inspired, chef-driven dishes. Located at 1942 East 7th St. in the Elizabeth on 7th mixed-use development, Catalina will be open daily, with plans to add weekend brunch and an abbreviated “Social Hour” menu offering snacks and small plates alongside drinks from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. 

Catalina is merging local and Southern favorites with coastal-inspired recipes. Specialty menu items include: Carolina Sunburst Farms Trout with Butter Bean Succotash, Pappardelle with short rib ragu and roasted tomatoes, and a Spicy Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich. Catalina also offers protein bowls,salads, a raw bar, and a kid’s menu.

Milk Cha-Cha, South End and South Charlotte – Open now!

Milk Cha-Cha was founded in 2020 by two “boba-addict” friends who share the same passion for boba. Through drinking boba around the world, their obsession quickly grew. After a year of tireless recipe development, the first Milk Cha-Cha boba tea shop opened in Charlotte, NC to provide a unique boba experience by using fresh fruits, fresh dairy, and premium loose leaf teas. A place where “boba-addicts” from all over can meet and enjoy a cup of cha-cha happiness.

Panzú Brewery, Mint Hill – Open now!

Panzú Brewery, the areas newest brewery – and only brewery in Mint Hill, is officially open. Guests will enjoy year-round craft beverages and high-end tapas platters, created by Chef Pamela Amaro.

TOUS les JOURS, South End – Open now!

TOUS les JOURS, a French-Asian bakery café chain offering more than 300 artisan pastries, gourmet cakes and desserts baked in-store daily, is now welcoming guests to its new South End location in Charlotte, North Carolina. Marking the brand’s fourth location in the state, the new TOUS les JOURS is owned and operated by franchisee Yidi Chen, who is local to the Charlotte area and has plans to expand TOUS les JOURS’ footprint throughout the community. Located in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood, the bakery is bringing TOUS les JOURS’ wide array of baked goods, both sweet and savory, and unique coffee and beverage options to the bustling area.
