About the MPHS Foundation

The Foundation’s mission is to enhance the educational experience of Myers Park Students by expanding opportunity, addressing unmet needs and funding innovation. Myers Park High School is a diverse student body that excels in many areas from academics, to the arts and athletics. However, nearly 1000 students are considered to be at risk and do not have the adequate resources for success. They face poverty, homelessness or other incredible social challenges and without the extra support many would not graduate.

Currently, the Foundation’s funding provides Communities in Schools social workers and supports Mustangs Matter, an after school initiative that provides underserved students greater access to academic support and enrichment opportunities. In addition, the Foundation supports many Innovation and Mental Health Initiatives at Myers Park so that it remains a model public school in providing opportunity and support for all of its students. For more information on MPHS Foundation, please visit our website at www.mphsfoundation.org.
