Great Girls’ Trip Getaways for This Summer

When we say we are excited for summer… we are excited for all things girls’ trips. Here is SCOOP’s SUMMER 2024 LIST of where to GO. Those hot girl walks are now planning sessions.

We need a vacation. Pronto.

Option 1: VEGAS, Baby.

We have left what we think about Vegas in Charlotte. The Sphere at the Venetian Las Vegas has us considering Vegas for our next girls’ trip for many reasons. Let’s take back the idea of what Vegas can offer. The average cost for a tix to a concert here is $194.27. That’s not bad. Tix here.

She’s pretty. Like us. The Sphere took 5 years to complete and surrounds you in 270 degrees of visuals. Wow. Its immersive sound is setting the bar for what a show should sound like. Visit Vegas describes it as, “imagine you feel the wind off a mountain top or the vibration of the earth as an enormous elephant walks by. Think virtual reality without the headset. You’ve got to see it – experience it – for yourself.” Okay, then. We must.

Book a stay at the Venetian Resort and spend the next couple of days in a private cabana by day, Tao Nightclub by night. Recover at the world renowned CANYON RANCH SPA.

Use their discount CODES for current specials found HERE. The ‘Shine and Refresh scrub’ for us.

We view shopping on girls’ trips as the golfing equivalent. It’s our hobby and our cardio wrapped into one. Our version of the course map: Store Directory.

OPTION 2: Head to the Mountains in LUXURY at The GREENBRIER RESORT

Four hours north of Charlotte, in the midst of the BlueRidge Mountains, lies the opulent Greenbrier Resort. She’s a beautiful reason to leave the city behind and discover fancy country roads. Their current package offers are generous.

Show us an indoor pool more spectacular than this. We won’t be doing laps but we will be toasting on the veranda.

Dripping in history and Dorothy Draper decor, there are many many activities to partake in. Not the least of which is dining at the resort. Sit down for a seafood tower, traditional steak, and table-side caesar salad at Prime 77 West or try your luck & the award-winning sushi at the casino. Share a giant banana-split at Draper’s for lunch. There can be a wait so book yourself a booth.

The food at The Greenbrier is retro-meets upscale. It’s a delicious nostalgia that changes how you think about resort dining. Make sure to linger at the mile-long breakfast buffet in the main dining room. There’s bread pudding with heated drizzled icing that makes you shed an actual tear.

Each room option is more unique than the next. The resort is over a hundred years old and somehow timeless. Goals. Book now.

Girls’ trips here are special.

OPTION 3: EXIT the US for Zemi Beach House & The Island of Anguilla in the Caribbean

With some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Anguilla is one of our most recommended trips. If you know, you know.

American Airlines now has direct flights from Miami into Anguilla. Or you can fly into St. Marteen and take a rum-punch filled personal boat charter into Anguilla with Calypso Charters. It’s extravagant and worth it.

Anguilla is known for its quiet luxury. Zemi Beach House Resort is a great option for accommodations. Charlotte girls appreciate luxury and Zemi is one of the absolute best in the relaxing biz. Its boutique layout is perched ocean-side with nothing but clear views.

Another option for accommodations is the famous Four Seasons Resort and Residences. Or, at least stop by SALT for dinner. Enjoy the turtles swimming below, along the rocks, while enjoying the ceviche.

White sands = clear minds.

Boat rental options are plentiful on Anguilla. Gotcha Garfield is a popular choice.

She’s such a show-off, that island girl. Anguilla has our heart.

Don’t miss out.

OPTION 4: Sweet in the City, New York City

Take your number one girl to the best city in the world. A little one-on-one girly time is paramount as time races by. Stop and book.

Check in to the The Plaza Hotel for all things classic Manhattan. While you wait for the bellman to bring your luggage up, ask for room-service croissants to meet you for the quick change out of airplane comfies into something Plaza-ready.

Set out across the street to stroll Central Park and all that she offers. Take in the arches and grand staircase and admire where the term landscape architecture was first coined. Time will stand still—and isn’t that what we’re all after on vacay?

Central Park Picnic by The Plaza Hotel NYC

Time for shopping. Head across the way to Bergdorf Goodman for some spoils. Always eat at the BG cafe for the deviled eggs, lobster salad, and THE view. Reservations here.

You can’t come all the way to NYC and not have pizza. Make it the good stuff. Stop by or order from Pizzarte. We love how you can enjoy their Art Gallery while dining. Oh, so New York.

Try something new, yet classic NY. Like Carrie Bradshaw herself. The Russian Tea room in Midtown is so NY. Reservations needed well in advance, so call today.

Somewhere more casual? Now’s your chance to grab a famous NYC cab and head to the other side of the park. Old John’s is NYC diner vibes done perfectly.

Before your flight back to the QC, enjoy Eloise Tea in the lobby. Feel like a little girl again while enjoying all things pink. Reservations here.

And make plans for a return trip.

No boarding passes needed. Options with a short drive:

Head north to Floyd, Virginia for wine tasting at the beautiful Chateau Morrisette. Stay overnight at the amazing nearby Primland Resort, named #1 resort in Southeast U.S., a private estate that defines the ultimate experience of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.

Or head west to the Rockburn Spa.

It doesn’t always have to be hard to spend time with your girls.
