Now open in Camp North End, Gravity Pizza features a sourdough crust, house-made sauces and spreads plus sustainably sourced ingredients.
From the team behind Customshop comes Marina’s Tapas, bringing Spanish tapas to Optimist Hall. Expect small bites, seafood, sandwiches and more.
This Yemeni coffee shop offers a variety of coffees, teas, lattes, chai and more. Hungry? Qahwah House also has pastries and Yemeni desserts on the menu.
Finale Pizza & Pasta, South Charlotte
Inizio Pizza Napoletana’s sister concept serves up thin 18 inch pies with a crisp crust and classic toppings. They also offer a variety of pastas. Find them at 15025 Lancaster Highway.
Chief’s Modern Cocktail Parlor, NoDa
Beloved mixologist Bob Peters leads the charge at Chief’s, a new cocktail bar named for Peters’ late father. Expect cocktails crafted from local ingredients, a desserts menu created by The Goodyear House’s pastry chef, Becca Rankin, and a snack menu created by chef Chris Coleman.
Taking the place of Little Spoon on Selwyn Avenue, Rada offers contemporary American fare through a menu of sharable plates and wine program.
King of Fire pizza has gone from food truck popularity to brick and mortar success. Their new location on The Green is open Monday through Friday 11am – 3pm.
Now you can eat tacos and do good in the Dilworth neighborhood. Tacos 4 Life is now open, offering tacos, rice bowls, salads, quesadillas, nachos and more. For each meal purchased, a meal is packages with Feed By Starving Children. Find them at 1716 Kenilworth Ave Unit 150.
Now open in University, Tora Izakaya offers sushi, rice dishes, noodles, signature chef’s dishes and more.
DŌZO, Wesley Heights
From the creators of the acclaimed food truck Katsu Kart Sando Shop comes Dōzo, a Japanese-American kitchen open now inside City Kitch.

Duckworth’s Adding Comedy Club, Uptown – January 7 opening
Located upstairs at the Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse located on 330 N Tryon St., Duckworth’s plans to “bring together an exciting mix of up-and-coming talent and well-known comedians from both local and national circuits.” Tickets are $25 for general admission and $35 for reserved seating and guests are also required to purchase two menu items to enjoy during the show (drinks count). Dogwood Southern Table and Bar, Uptown – Opening January 22
After closing in SouthPark, this Southern restaurant is looking forward to re-opening inside The Westin in Uptown. Expect familiar dishes alongside some new faces.
La Lima, South End – late Jan or Feb
The minds behind Yunta Nikkei and Viva Chicken are expected to open a Peruvian sandwich shop in the former Carrabba’s location.
Knowledge Perk Coffee, Uptown – late Jan or Feb
Coming soon to The Alley at Latta Arcade in Uptown, this small-batch roastery will be the first North Carolina location for Knowledge Perk, which also has locations in Fort Mill, Columbia and Rock Hill.
Panko, NoDa – late Jan or Feb
A new Peruvian Nikkei restaurant is coming soon to NoDa. Panko will offer sushi, nigiri, and a variety of seafood dishes.
Hot out of the oven! News just broke that a NYC favorite bagel shop will be opening a new location in Charlotte in Spring 2025.
