Zoom & Bloom 5K Kids & Run

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is hosting a 5k where participants can enjoy all the spring blooms along the garden’s trail system. Adults will be able to run the 5K while kids can go all out in the quarter mile sprint around the ponds.

Charlotte’s Dog Jog

McAlpine Creek Park

Run, walk, or jog alongside your pup in this fun 5K or 1-mile walk. The Charlotte Dog Jog is perfect for all fitness levels and a great way to enjoy the outdoors with your furry best friend. After the race, enjoy coffee and doughnuts, as well as the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs from local rescues.
The 4th Annual Five Points 5K will commence on Saturday, April 5th at 8 am. The event welcomes walkers, runners, and even skaters to join in on the community-filled fun.
Sarcoma Stomp 2025

The Sarcoma Stomp is the signature fundraiser of the Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research. One of the largest sarcoma events, this 5K run and 3K walk joins together participants for a great cause. This year, the event will feature an after-race party with music, food trucks, games, and more.

The Ballantyne Road Race tradition continues on Saturday, April 5, 2025, marking the 21st annual Run. The race offers an 8k, 5k and Fun Run option, making sure there is something for everyone. Awards will be given for largest teams in each division and fastest overall team.

Charlotte FC is hosting a health and wellness festival designed to bring the CLT community together and energize them too. The event will feature over 25 fitness and health classes, curated wellness vendors, a festival retreat atmosphere, and more.

Tunnel to Towers Charlotte Climb

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. The Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes, and their families. At this year’s Tunnel to Towers Climb, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department will honor the four law enforcement officers who lost their lives on April 29, 2024.
2025 Bunny Run 5k & Festival

The Bunny Run 5K and Festival is a hopping good time set for Saturday, April 19th. The festival includes face painting, DJ/MC, food trucks, arts & crafts and dancing with the Easter Bunny. Races will begin on McCachern Blvd beside the Cabarrus County Parking Lot.

Elizabeth 8K Road Race

1515 Bartow Court

Taking place each Spring and welcoming over 1,300 runners to one of the city’s oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods, the Elizabeth 8K has been a Charlotte favorite for almost 4 decades. The race starts and finishes just off of Elizabeth Avenue with the majority of the route weaving its way through the historic, tree-lined streets. Participants have several events to choose from: 8K timed race, 1.5M untimed run/walk, and a Kids Fun Run.
The Pirate walk/run offers a 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 15K, and Half Marathon all at Clark’s Creek Greenway. The race starts at 8:30 AM with packet pickup starting 30 minutes before the race and ending 10 minutes before the race starts.
Strawberry Sprint & Stroll 5K

Main Street, Fort Mill

The Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run is returning for its fifth year and will take place in Fort Mill’s historic downtown corridor on Saturday, April 26. Berry B. Good, Fort Mill’s cheerful strawberry mascot, and the reigning Strawberry Queens will also be part of the festivities.
The Loop 5K

The SouthPark Loop

Charlotte’s newest road race event kicking off the spring season is The Loop 5K in the heart of South Park. The race takes place along The Loop, a 3.1 mile urban trail that connects throughout the SouthPark community. The Post-Race Festival will feature music, food, and local vendor booths.

On May 3, 2025, at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, NC, the 10th Annual Teal Diva 5k will be held to celebrate a decade of supporting women affected by gynecologic cancer. By wearing teal, peach, and lavender apparel, you can represent our commitment to their cause.

The Other’s Day 5K is a chance to celebrate and honor “the village”. So join in on the fun at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and rep the Others that have and continue to make a difference in your life. Race registration includes tri-blend race shirt in your choice of unisex or women’s cut, finisher medal, post race food, drinks and vendor fair. The thirteenth annual Charlotte LUNGe Forward 5K Run, Walk & Celebration will be held on May 17 at McAlpine Creek Park. This event will unite up to 500 people to make a difference for lung cancer across North Carolina. The event serves as a day of celebration, remembrance, as well as a day to take action and provide hope to those impacted by lung cancer.
Mental Health Matters 5K & Festival 2025

Unite the City 5K

The Unite the City 5K Event will be held on Saturday, May 24th, in Brookhill Village at 409 Basin Street. Noda 5K

NoDa Brewing’s North End Tap Room

The Noda 5K is back for another year of historic Charlotte fitness and fun. Besides the regular 5K, runners can also participate in the team challenge. Get your run club team, family members, or just some random friends you met at the dog park to help you win the grand prize. The winning team will be coined champion with some pallets of fresh cold ones after our age group awards.

2nd Annual Dam to Dam Paddleboard

Dam to Dam 2025 is making its second annual appearance on June 20, 2025. Plan to join the fun on the waters of the Catawba River for a full day of paddle boarding and help raise money for the 24 Foundation.
Run the South Marathon, 10K, and 5K

McAlpine Creek Park

Deemed “The Hottest Half”, the Run the South is a fast and flat race through shaded greenways and wide open gravel paths. After the race, all distances get a pair of Goodr running sunglasses; a top (performance tee or sleeveless tank), and a custom finisher medal.

2025 Healthy Achievement 5K

The 12th Anniversary Healthy Achievement 5K, 8K, Run, Walk, and Ruck will take place on June 21st at 8 am. All race day events will take place on or about the 300 block of S. Mint Street, adjacent to Romare Bearden Park, which is located on between W. 3rd Street and W. MLK, Jr. Blvd. Following the 5K, enjoy the Health Festival that features an awards ceremony, food & beverages for purchase from local vendors, a DJ, and more.
She Tris Sprint Triathlon

Enjoy the dog days of summer with the Summer Nights 5K and 1 miler at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. The setting sun paired with the shade of trails will make for the “coolest” race you can do around here in mid-July.
