The holiday season can always be a little chaotic and sometimes we forget a gift or two. One quick solution you might not think of is gift shopping at one of our local “church shops”. Always affordable, cozy and friendly, with both spiritual and non-religious gifts, where you could find the perfect gift for your mother-in-law, godchild, Secret Santa or neighbor’s holiday party. You don’t have to be a church member to shop these gift stores, although it is convenience to pick something up on your way in or out of service!
The Good News Shop
Attached to Christ Episcopal Church located on 1412 Providence Rd is the Good News Shop. This store features perfect gifts for this holiday season including books, candles, lotions, jewelry, handbags, decorative pillows, children gifts, tabletop accessories, men’s accessories, crosses, paper products, kitchen accessories, and much more. They also offer free gift wrapping. As a private, nonprofit organization, the Good News Shop donates all of its sales proceeds in the form of grants to worthy nonprofit initiatives, especially focused on the needs of women and children in the community and abroad. The World Room in the Calvary Galleria
Sometimes choosing the perfect gift for someone isn’t so easy, but you can never go wrong with a good book. Attached to Calvary Church is the World Room located in the Calvary Galleria which serves to their congregation and welcomes the community as well. They have a large selection of books from all over the world for all ages. Stop in this holiday season!
Goodness Gracious
Goodness Gracious is having a Holiday Party this Saturday!
Myers Park United Methodist Church has a gift shop named Goodness Gracious located off the lobby of the Parish Life Building. This Saturday December 5th they are having a very special day including music, Christmas carols, refreshments and wonderful gift ideas to purchase. The best part is you don’t have to be a member of the church to stop in~ they welcome the public as well.
