So many new places to eat, drink, and shop gourmet, so little time. Charlotte is abuzz with launches this fall, and whether you want a little indulgence (hi, donuts) or some cleansing refreshment (juice for everyone), there’s something new just around the corner. Here are our top 10 picks from now through the holidays. Opening dates are, of course, estimates and subject to change.
Duck Donuts: Now Open
Cupcakes, cronuts, donuts… we’re okay with this evolution. Dilworth’s made-to-order donut shop is an immediate hit in the neighborhood. Staffers agree that the Maple Bacon and Cinnamon Sugar are the most popular picks from the menu, but try the rotating specials for an excuse to come back again and again, like the Almond Joy (pictured above), with chocolate icing, peanuts, and coconut.
CHOPT: Now Open
The much-anticipated build-your-own salad concept is alive and thriving in Park Road Shopping Center. The brand’s focus on creative, global-infused salads incorporating local ingredients provides the best of both worlds. The scratch-made dressings are a highlight of the menu and might inspire a custom creation, but when your brain is on overload, the menu presets provide a variety of flavor profiles. (ps, you will see EVERYONE you know at Chopt right now, so be prepared!!)

I Love Juice Bar: Now &Â Soon
I Love Juice Bar has arrived in Charlotte, and is already poised for quick growth. The Providence Plaza location is open, so stop in to try some green goodness or even a cozy cup of butternut squash soup. And stay tuned — they’re contributing yet another upgrade to Park Road Shopping Center approx. October 5, so you now have basically everything you need to stay all day for a moveable feast.

Amelie’s Uptown: Opening early November
Oh, how we’ve missed the Amelie’s outpost uptown. Thank goodness it will be back, (way) bigger and better by the end of the year. The Observer reports that it will stay open 24 hours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, adding a much-needed option for late night snacks and hang-out space uptown.

Pasta & Provisions: Opening Early November
Is there anything more comforting for fall than a big bowl of homemade pasta? Luckily, you have twice the chance to stock up when Pasta & Provisions opens on Park Road. We love seeing their products in stores around town, but you’re bound to find new dinner inspiration by browsing through the brick-and-mortar. According to Facebook, the original estimated Oct. 1 launch is now estimated for early November. Co Vietnamese: Opening Late Fall
Pho, edamame dumplings, sushi, bahn mi… When no one can agree on lunch, go Pan-Asian at this Park Road Shopping Center addition this season. One Life Raw Juice Bar: Opening Late Fall
The juice bar, in the former home of Selwyn Cleaners, will take a holistic approach to the emerging juice market in Charlotte. The focus on vegan “superfoods” sends a simple message of health through clean eating. Is it too soon to get excited about New Year’s? Nope. They plan to debut their superfood cocktail list New Year’s Eve.
Foxcroft Wine Co.: Opening Late Fall
This SouthPark staple is known for its upscale yet comfortable ambiance and fab selection, and is set to launch in Dilworth later this fall in Kenilworth Commons. Yes, the parking in the area is less-than-ideal during construction. Yes, it will all be worth it when you can pop in for wine and bites after a yoga class or grocery excursion.
P.S. It’s not just about the foodies this season. Keep an eye out late this fall for Sloan Boutique‘s move from Dilworth to the Village at SouthPark.
