Ashley Sieving, Interior Designer, B.D. Jeffries
Design Cred: Before B.D. JEFFRIES, Ashley worked in New Orleans for Cynthia Nunez, the owner of Antiques de Provence, an upscale store specializing in 17th and 18th century indoor and outdoor furniture and lighting from the South of France.”One of my largest installations was a beautiful French chateau in Dallas, TX,” she says, and she had the opportunity to work with celebrities, athletes, architects, and designers all over the world.
Specialty Aesthetic: Eclectic, with a focus on mixing antique furniture with contemporary art and accessories. A neutral palette with varying textures, patterns, and pops of color create a more attractive effect. “By adding layers of interest,” she advises, “your eye is able to continually move around a room, not focusing on any one piece or design element.”
Outside of Design: Ashley loves fashion, music, art, repurposing furniture, and doting on her Yorkies, Izzie and Roux.
Favorite Recent Project:Â The Cotswold home of clients who wanted to update their living area while keeping it comfortable and family-friendly. “I brought in new upholstery in a neutral palette, a console behind the sofa, a hide bench, and updated the room by adding a beautiful yet functional custom-made credenza on a large interior wall. This enabled us to hang a stunning piece of art by Murray Parker, and we further enriched the room with contemporary lamps, unique accessories, and plush pillows.”
Store Pick: A pair of woven, leather benches in a rich gray hue, which could be used beneath a console, in front of a secretary, at the end of a bed, or pulled up to a favorite chair. “The unexpected combination of materials provides a great foil for any interior, not to mention great overflow seating.”
