As the owner of two precious pups, it used to break my heart when I had to leave my babies in their crates all day while I was away at the office. And while I don’t know if my dogs suffered from separation anxiety, I certainly did. Luckily I work from home these days, but if you aren’t so fortunate we found the perfect solution. Enter the utopia of doggy daycare, Dogtopia. Located just off South Boulevard, Dogtopia provides everything your furry friend needs for a day filled with play, including large playrooms, private crates, plenty of playtime and individualized care and attention.
How does daycare at Dogtopia work? Prior to dropping your dog off, they are evaluated by Dogtopia’s knowledgeable staff where they are introduced to potential playmates in a separate evaluation room to ensure your fur child will be happy. With three large climate-controlled playrooms that range up to 2200 square feet (um, the size of most homes) with soft rubber flooring, there is plenty of room for romping. In addition, one of Dogtopia’s well-trained staff is always in the room to monitor play, provide personal attention and ensure each pup is playing nice with others.
And rest-assured, your little yorkie won’t be playing in the same room with the big dogs. Dogs of different sizes and temperaments are separated into appropriate playrooms so they can socialize with similar dogs. Dogtopia even provides webcams in each playroom so you can check in on your pet throughout the day.
After visiting Dogtopia, I couldn’t help but think of it much like doggy kindergarten. Each dog is given their own cubby where any collars and leashes are stored until pickup time. Dogs are given 3 hours of open play in the morning full of romping and lounging prior to a two hour lunchtime nap in their own comfortable home-style crate. Post nap time, it’s time for more open play before being picked up by mom or dad. Needless to say, your furry family member will be worn out by the time they get home. They even celebrate birthday’s with special treats and birthday photos fit for the fridge.
Daycare pricing ranges from $29 for a single visit to $22/day for a 30-day pass. Dogtopia also provides monthly unlimited packages at $420 per month. Have more than one dog to drop-off for the day? Family discounts are available for additional dogs. In addition to daycare, Dogtopia also provides spa & grooming services as well as self-service bathing facilities and overnight boarding. I even headed home with a new slow feeder for my fast-eating beagle from the collection of toys and products available in the lobby.
Now through March 31, save 25% on a single visit to try out Dogtopia’s Doggie Daycare. Just tell them you saw it on scoop and/or show this post on your phone.
