24 Hours in the Life of Like A Girl Fitness

Here’s a snapshot of what life is like for a very young, super healthy, literally heels-over-head QC entrepreneur.

6:30 – 7:00 am … my internal clock wakes me up. And there’s no snooze button with my internal clock, so I’m up.

7:10 am … I check my phone within 10 minutes of waking up. I love to make a morning inspirational and motivational post for my #SHINESQUAD girls on Instagram. These morning posts also set the stage for my day ahead. Mindset is everything and my morning posts help push me to be the best that I can possibly be.

7:20 am … After my morning post, I actually tuck my phone away for the next few hours. This gives me an opportunity to fully commit to my training routines without any distractions.There is plenty of work to be done, for I am a young entrepreneur! And I must fit in my morning #FLOGA Sequence (yoga) and #PUSH Workout Routine before I commit to the day!

7:30 am … Breakfast. My favorite meal of the day! Could be a great big bowl of Chocolatey Oats topped with fresh fruit, and seeds of all sorts. Or perhaps a Green Power Protein Smoothie to get me through the day. It all just depends on what I’m hungry for. No coffee for me. I prefer a pot of positivitea. Hehe. See what I did there. Green Tea is a must.

8:00 am …I workout from 8:00 to 9:30 Monday through Saturday in the comfort of my own home. I kick off my morning with a stress relieving sequence from the LIKEAGIRL #FLOWGA Program followed by a High Intensity 20 Minute Interval Workout from the LIKEAGIRL #PUSH Program! No equipment needed.

The goal each week is to complete all REQUIRED LIKEAGIRL 20 minute workouts!! You then have the option to incorporate 10 Minute Total Toning Challenges into your weekly routine for maximum results. Again these are ‘bodyweight exercises’’ no equipment needed. So you’re more than welcome to knock out a #PUSH challenge or perhaps a #FLOWGA sequence at the office if need be.

10:00 am … After I shower I’ll put on makeup simply because I loveee getting dolled up like I have somewhere to be. Even if I am just sitting at my desk answering emails all day.  And I may work from home, but I always dress like I’m leaving the house for a professional work day. If I dress like a lump, I’ll feel like a lump. I’m a huge fan of stockings, skirts, a pair of knee high socks, an oversized sweater knotted to perfection and some sort of hair accessory. Maybe a bandanna, perhaps a beanie, or my classic fedora!

Blowdry or Pony Tail? There is no way this ‘Butch Cut’ (as my bf likes to call it) can fit into a ponytail. Blow dry it is.

10:30 am … I usually get to my emails around 10:30 ­ 11:00 ish, post morning routine. I sit down at my computer, check in and create a ‘LIKEAGIRL To Do list’ for the day ahead.

11:30 am … I am neatly packaging LIKEAGIRL goodies from the LIKEAGIRL ONLINE SHOP to be shipped out the door.

 

12:30 pm … I love a colorful salad bowl filled to the brim with raw veggies, nuts, seeds and fresh fruit. I’m also a huge fan of pea soup! lol. But no matter what’s for lunch the focus is protein. As I am a veggie, aka. Vegan. So I’m always looking for ways to incorporate all the plant based proteins I possibly can. (ps. I do not use powder proteins EVER. I prefer living off whole foods)

1:30 pm … I love to be outside. I absolutely love it, and if the sun’s out, I’m out. I love to take long walks through the trails admiring all of the world’s natural beauty. (Keep in mind I am an ‘enlightened’ yogi) This is my ‘me time’ where I can relax and let go. Take a few deep breaths and remind myself that no matter where I am in life, and no matter what i’m going through, everything is going to be ok. Sometimes I’ll bring my trusty android and handy dandy tripod to shoot a few videos for my IG page aka. LIKEAGIRL_FITNESS! #SHINEEVERYDAMNDAY

 

 

4:00 pm to 10:00 pm … As I said earlier I am a young entrepreneur. Somedays I’ll log into my computer at 10AM and not log out until 10PM. Other days I am done by 4:00pm. It all just depends on the workload for the day ahead.

6:30 pm …  I always eat dinner with my boyfriend. Usually we’ll pick a place to get take out, or we’ll run to the grocery store to cook something at home. I love rice bowls and i’m a sucker for a veggie sub ~  shoutout to Firehouse Subs for being THE BEST Sub shop in Charlotte . Nada to drink, as I’m not a fan of drinking.

 

7:30 pm … I’m a homebody. I love to stay in with my boyfriend and watch movies, or binge on netflix. When we do go out, it’s almost ALWAYS for a sporting event. We love to support our City’s teams, like the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers. Most evenings are filled with long stretch sequences and inversion/arm balance play. I’m a dedicated yogi, always looking for ways to become a bit stronger and a tad bit bendier.

9:30 pm … Now I know i’m 21 and ya’ll probably think i’m raging into the night. But the truth is I’m out like a light bulb between the hour of 9:00 & 10:00PM.

Weekends … I try my best to take time for myself and break free from LIKEAGIRL on the weekends. I love to hike, and I love to explore. And I love to spend quality time with the people that I love. Sunday’s are a Family day in my household. We all (all my brothers & sisters) pile in my parents house, eat good food, drink good drinks, and just have a grand time enjoying each other’s presence! It’s quite lovely.
