Big, bold florals have been trend-spotted for this year and it is a unanimous vote: florals are a wonderful way to bring the color and pattern to your rooms. From fresh cut flowers on your table to floral accent pillows, just a little can liven up any space in the house. Or, you can go all in by layering floral fabrics, pillows, art and wallpaper. We love the intermix of old-fashioned florals with neutral decor, including today’s popular sectionals, lucite and clean lines, and for an unexpected edge, consider upholstering a piece with modern / contemporary lines in a granny floral. Not just for porch swings anymore!

I usually start with one dominant fabric and choose a coordinate that has either; a common accent color, a mimicking pattern, a uniform color story, or similar feel. You can mix and match and have a lot of fun without venturing too far into granny territory!
