Rusty Rudder won’t allow independence day to be limited to just 24 hours. Running Friday through Monday, the July 4th Weekend Bash will feature daily live music performances, hot dog eating contests, prime fireworks viewing locations and even a visit from Captain America. Tour De Food Davidson Food Tour

Tour starts at Brickhouse Tavern
Sip and taste your way through one of North Carolina’s favorite downtowns. First Annual DFM Kids Festival

The farmer’s market is a Davidson Saturday morning staple, but this week it’s all about the kids and that healthy summer produce. At the first annual Kid’s Festival, enjoy a Kids Chopped Competition, yoga sessions and other activities that promote healthy food education.
Troutman Independence Day Parade

Iredell County Fairgrounds
This free and public event kicks off with a parade honoring our country’s veterans. Join in the fun with live music, beer and wine, a kids zone and plenty of vendors. Once the sun goes down, stick around for a front row seat to a fireworks show.
Concerts on the Green: Ted Vigil

Davidson Village Green
It’s the first Sunday of the month and Concerts on the Green is back, this time with the throwback sounds of Ted Vigil and his John Denver cover performances. Bring your picnics and lawn chairs for a pre-fourth celebration.

Bring the whole family out for an afternoon and evening of fun with music, games, inflatables and vendors starting at 4 pm. Stay for fireworks beginning at 9:30.
Downtown Davidson 4th of July Celebration

Downtown Davidson
Whether you’re parading yourself or waving from the stands, don your red, white and blue for Downtown Davidson’s annual 4th of July Parade and Celebration. Decorate your own bike, wagon, or even your pets to participate in the parade. Line-up is at 5:15 at McEver Field.

Freedom Boat Club Lake Norman
Want to view the fireworks from the lake? Hurry up and claim your spot aboard a slide pontoon headed to a prime fireworks viewing spot outside of the marina. There are only 40 spots, so get to it!
