It’s the final week of Hooked on Fridays, and the perfect setting for Mutts & Music, an outdoor block party that the family and Fido can enjoy. There will be live music, free gifts for the first 20 pups, on-site pet adoption, vendors, lawn games and plenty of cold drinks. This event benefits the the Humane Society of Iredell County in their mission to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home.

Race towards the finish line at Lake Norman YMCA’s Sprint Triathlon. Challenge yourself on the 750 meter swim through Lake Norman, 17.8 mile bike ride through Davidson and 3.1 mile run around the YMCA campus. Proceeds benefit community programs at the Y.

Get ready for a day out on the lake led by Lake Norman Paddleboard Co and Carolina Adventure Guides LLC, whether you’re paddle boarding, kayaking, or canoeing. You’ll be on the water from 2-4 pm, just enough time to work up an appetite for food, fun, music and brews from 4-8 pm. Paddlefest is hosted by Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation and SweetWater Brewing Company.
