Whatever fare you choose to indulge in… I’ve compiled a list of the best of the best around LKN to help you munch in style.
And the winners are…
Best Breakfast Pizza: Acropolis Cafe & Grille in Cornelius. Pizza for Breakfast? Yes please. A great spot to bring the kids for a scrumptious meal.
Best Biscuits: Millstone Bake House and Provisions in Davidson. In fact, all of their Breads & Pastries are made in-house from scratch. Yum.
Best Cappuccino: Patisserie Cafe in Mooresville. As far as food goes, my personal favorite is their Calentado, a traditional Columbian Breakfast that’s oh so decadent. Seriously, take the drive up 77 and try this establishment out. I promise that you will not be disappointed.
Best Scratch-Made Hollandaise: The Egg in Davidson. I’ve also heard grand things about their dish titled “The Junkyard”.
Best Scratch-Made Whip Cream: Sun-Up Cafe in Mooresville. May I also suggest their Scotch Eggs (what are Scotch Eggs? Hard Boiled Eggs wrapped in Breakfast Sausage and rolled in Bread Crumbs and then deep fried, omg.), Bananas Fosters French Toast and their Smoked Salmon Omelet filled with Capers and Dill Cream Cheese.
Best “Homemade” Breakfast: Cafe 100 in Huntersville. This is my personal go-to, Best All Around Breakfast, Cafe. They never disappoint.
Best “Out Of The Norm” Brunch: Galway Hooker in Cornelius is known for their Grilled Beef Bernie, a Bourbon marinated Tenderloin topped with Poached Eggs and Béarnaise on a toasted English Muffin. Wowza. I also highly recommend their Brown Ale Bavarian Pretzel served with Sweet Potato Mustard and Cheddar Ale Sauce.
Best People Watching: Toast in Davidson. Some of their best dishes include the Raspberry Stuffed French Toast, Country Benedict and Boursin Omelet.
Best Water View: North Harbor Club in Davidson. You can’t go wrong with their Eggs Benedict paired with a Mimosa + a breathtaking water view.
