Thank goodness Thanksgiving is over, time to kick off Holiday EATs in Charlotte with the Gingerbread Lane competition at THE BALLANTYNE HOTEL.
The Ballantyne Hotel is hosting a gingerbread competition for three independent categories including professional, amateur and child (ages 12 and under). Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category and include an overnight getaway or $500 gift card from this year’s sponsor, Publix.
The timing to enter and compete is:
- Entry forms must be received by Tuesday, November 29.
- Gingerbread creations must be delivered to the hotel between Saturday, December 3 at 9:00 AM and Tuesday, December 6 at 6:00 PM.
- Judging will take place on Wednesday, December 7 at 4:00 PM.
- Viewing of the gingerbread creations from Thursday, December 8 through Wednesday, December 28.

A visit to Gingerbread Lane is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit ~ it is free and open to the public anytime throughout the dates offered. You can even vote on your favorite entries with $1 minimum donation per vote. All proceeds will benefit the Levine Children’s Hospital.
