Mingling on the Greens is back for the summer at Birkdale Village. Concerts are held each Friday and Saturday evening, as well as on Sunday afternoons. Here’s the line-up for this weekend:

Back to light up the streets of Old Town, this edition of 2nd Friday Street Festival is sure to be the best yet. Walk the streets and enjoy live entertainment from local talent, music, craft beer and wine, food trucks, art demonstrations and more along the way.

Movies at the Brewery
Twenty-Six Acres Brewing, Concord

Bring the whole family out for a night of fun at the brewery. For dinner, consider this line-up of food trucks that will be on-site:

Rilla Run 2017
Bayne Brewing Company, Cornelius
7:30 a.m.

The Inaugural 5K/10K Rilla Run will surely be a sight to see. Donning gorilla shirts, or even dressed up as a banana, participants will choose from a 5K or 10K route all to benefit two nonprofits: the Dian Fossey Gorilla Run and ASA Service Dogs. Plus, participants 21+ get a free pint from Bayne Brewing Company.

Guided Historic Walking Tour
Downtown Concord
10:30 a.m.

Local author and historian Michael Eury guides participants in this historic walking tour of Downtown Concord that explores the area’s rich past and promising future. $10 per person.

Southern Spirits Road Tour
Departing from Lake Town Tavern
10:30 a.m.

Get a behind-the-scenes look into local distilleries with the Southern Spirits Road Tour. From aboard a decked-out party bus, travel to four distilleries (Southern Distilling Company, Muddy River, Doc Porter’s & Great Wagon Road) and taste fifteen different spirits along the way. Craft Beer SummerFest
Harvey’s Cornelius, Cornelius
1 p.m.

Jetton Village plays host to Craft Beer SummerFest 2017. The day features a party on the square with beer vendors, local business booths, live bands and food offerings from Harvey’s. Plus, corn hole and games for the kids. Free admission.

Concerts on the Green
Davidson Village Green
6 p.m.

Roll out the blankets and lawn chairs for a summer evening filled with the sounds of beach music as Band of Oz entertains from 6-8 p.m. Concerts are free and open to the public.
