Where you want to be on July 1st and 4th… “’cause baby you’re a fiiirework!”
July 4, 10:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Ok, so we are leading with an event that doesn’t actually include fireworks… but what they lack in pyrotechnics they more than make up for with an adorable bike parade, live music and entertainment, and possibly one of the most fun things ever — a larger-than-life water fight hosted by the local fire department. Game on!
July 4, 5:30 p.m. (parade line-up starts at 5:15 p.m.)
No fireworks here either but if it’s classic american charm you seek this is the place you’ll find it. And, you’re encouraged to wear it; most everyone dresses in red, white and blue for the community parade (dress up your bike, wagon, pet). Live music on the green begins after the parade.
July 1, 4:00 p.m.
East Lincoln High School

More than 150 floats, music and marching units, church groups, civic organizations, scout troops, motorcycles, military units, horses, submarines, classic and antique cars, fire engines, beauty queens, WWII vehicles, trains, planes, and more make this parade a must-see in the Lake Norman area. The parade honors all veterans, the fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. at the Iredell County Fairgrounds.
Two days: July 3 – 4
This two-day celebration is a blast. Enjoy scheduled activities throughout the day including yoga, live music and of course a spectacular fireworks display over the whitewater river. Bring your kids, blankets or chairs and get there early to pick out a good spot to view the stage. This year will feature a musical performance by Belmont Abbey Island. Click here for a full schedule of outdoor adventures!
Scoop Tip: Many of the country clubs in the area including The Point’s Trump International Golf Club, Lake Norman Peninsula Golf Club, and NorthStone Country Club put on impressive shows that are free of charge and easy to access… just make sure not to block any driveways!
