The Dragon

Buy your tickets now for the first production of the Davidson College Department of Theatre season. The Dragon, written by Evgeny Shvarts in 1944, tells the story of a town seeking freedom from a ruling dragon. Tickets range from $6 – $15 and can be purchased online at davidson.edu/tickets or over the phone by calling 704-894-2135.
Halloween Daze & Spooky Knights
Carolina Renaissance Festival, Huntersville | 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily
Already the area’s best costume contest, the Carolina Renaissance Festival has a scary good line-up of Halloween events this weekend. Go trick-or-treating, go on a treasure hunt, compete in a costume contest and see the Knights of the Living Dead zombie jousting challenge. Plus, kids 12 and under are free!
THURSDAY
Breakin’ Bacon
Brixx Wood Fired Pizza – Birkdale, Huntersville | 5 p.m.
Brixx’s annual Breakin’Bacon event pairs four craft beer samples and three specialty bacons (think Chocolate Coated Bacon, Sriracha Bacon & Maple and Spiced Pecan Bacon). $9.95 per person.

Begins at Davidson Town Hall, Davidson | 5 p.m.
The Town of Davidson will celebrate the Halloween season with a traditional Halloween March along Main Street. Families should line up at town hall to parade along main street to receive treats from merchants and organizations.
2nd Annual Halloween Party & Costume Contest
The Harp & Crown, Cornelius | 8 p.m.
Harp & Crown’s Halloween party is back with free admission, music from Dj Scott Hill, drink specials and a costume contest with prizes.

3rd Annual Hallowversary ft. Simplified
D9 Brewing Company | 5 p.m.
