Coffee For A Cure Party Pics and A Big ISF Announcement

Two days in April, 4/11 and 4/12, hundreds of Charlotteans, mostly women, gathered at Carmel Country Club for the annual Coffee for a Cure fundraiser hosted by the Isabella Santos Foundation. It’s a rite of spring for many of us, a lovely gathering of friends and supporters of the foundation’s efforts to aise awareness and research funds for Neuroblastoma. It’s a powerful two days, led by a powerful team; over the last six years ISF has donated over $1,500,000 for Neuroblastoma research and other children’s cancer charities.

This year brought an announcement of change and exciting news ~  The Isabella Santos Foundation has committed  $5 million to establish The Isabella Santos Foundation Rare & Solid Tumor Program at Levine Children’s Hospital.  This program will oversee care for all solid tumors, rare tumors, MIBG therapy, and all related clinical and scientific research at LCH, a rare and special pediatric cancer program that will be the first of its kind in the United States.  You can watch this great video or READ MORE on the givecarolinas website here.

Even if you didn’t make the coffee, you can support their efforts with a donation here. And get ready for their next fundraising event, GOLF FOR A CURE, on June 7 at Topgolf. Don’t miss that one, as you can see, it’s always a good time with the girls from ISF:
