A Journey in Images: An Instagram-Inspired Collection

Celebrate the work of photographer Bart Mauceri Jr., inspired by Instagram formats, in A Journey in Images. Opening reception will be held May 19 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., while work will be on display through August 24. Free and open to the public.

2nd Annual Lake Norman Festival of the Arts with Craft Marketplace
May 19 – 20 | Birkdale Village, Huntersville

SATURDAY

The Breakfast Truck at OTPH
Old Town Public House | 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Each Saturday in May, The Breakfast Food Truck will join the team at OTPH to fuel guests up for the weekend ahead.

The Butterfly Run 5K
Aquesta Bank Headquarters, Cornelius | 8 a.m.

Lace up for a 5K run/walk in memory of Lauren Marie Kimsey and in support of Big Day at The Lake and The Lauren Marie Kimsey Foundation for Synovial Sarcoma. The race will start with a release of 250 live butterflies and end with live music.

Charlotte Asian Festival 2018
Ramsey Creek Park, Cornelius

The 2018 Charlotte Asian Festival celebrates the heritage and diversity of Asian cultures with music and dance performances, the Charlotte Dragon Boat Race, exhibits and food.

Viking Revival Celebration

D9 Brewing Co. will celebrate their Scottish Sour Ale with bagpipers, face painting, Scottish fare and live music beginning at 2 p.m.

Ghostface Brewing, Mooresville | 1 – 5 p.m.

Brew-Vie Bus Tour

Hop aboard the brew bus that will take participants  to two local breweries and Our Town Cinemas Cafe and Taphouse for a private VIP screening of Deadpool 2. Spring in the Vineyard Concert with the Lake Norman Orchestra
Daveste’ Vineyards, Troutman | 6 – 8 p.m.

The Lake Norman Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Eduardo Cedeno, returns to Daveste’ Vineyards for “Spring in the Vineyard.” Enjoy show tunes, upbeat sounds of Latin America with wine and beer available for purchase. $10 includes a glass of wine, $5 for ages 16-20 and complimentary for those under 15.

Wine Tasting Saturday
Lake Norman Cottage, Davidson | 6:30 – 9 p.m.

Sunday Jazz

Concert on the Green- Moondance Orchestra

The next Concert on the Green features the big band sounds of Moondance Orchestra. Bring chairs, a blanket and a picnic, or enjoy offerings from local restaurants and shops. Free and open to the public.
