Are you ready for women to lead the revolution? The “She Series” from OPERA CAROLINA is here, and we are here for it.
The 2018/19 season showcases strong women who are ready to fight for what they believe in, who they love and the life that they deserve. Sounds right on time to us scoopgirls, BRAVO! Opera Carolina for introducing us to strong female characters.
Marie is the first spirited young woman that we will meet. The star of The Daughter of the Regiment, Marie, was orphaned as an infant and improbably raised by a French army regiment. Unaware that her birth mother who abandoned her is an aristocrat, she’s met and fallen in love with a handsome peasant. Will she marry for love or choose her social status or risk both to have it all?
The Daughter of the Regiment has three performances; November 10th at 8pm, November 15th at 7:30pm and November 18th at 2pm. All shows are performed at The Belk Theater at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.
Scoop Tip: Opera Carolina has made it easy and affordable to introduce your child to the opera with their First Night at the Opera experience.
